Incipio Technologies SILICRYLIC Case with Smoke Shell 2 Pack for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Black,Olive Green)

I love this case. I purchased my first one at the AT&T store and only bought a new one because I just bought a 3GS, so when I sell my 3G I plan on giving the new owner the old case.
I've gone through a number of case designs and this one is my favorite. It doesn't add a lot of bulk to my iPhone but protects the phone from drops, especially onto the phone's corners. Other cases either don't provide real protection or are too slippery.
The case is made of two parts. It has a hard-plastic X-shaped outer shell that protects the corners and the back and an inner silicon-rubber shell that provides a great grip (iPhones are too slippery for me without a rubber case) and dust protection for the volume and lock buttons. The dock, speaker, microphone, and mute switch are still uncovered. When it's all put together there are no annoying seams to rub you wrong and it doesn't come apart on accident but is easy to take apart if you need to.
The back on my first one was clear and shows a bit of scratching if you look for it but handles wear very well. This new one is smoke colored and I don't really know if scratches will show up better or worse, but, at least it's protecting the phone.
Definitely worth the price and I highly recommend it to all my fellow iPhone owners.

I really love this cell phone cover! It is bright, colorful, and I can find it in my handbag. The only reason I am giving this a 4 instead of 5 stars is that the cover makes my screen protectors that I get from AT&T bubble at the edges. I have onother one like this one and it does the same thing. I am still looking for the perfect cover.
Thanks!

This is the absolutely best deal for this product. It arrived only a few days after purchasing in perfect condition. If you are looking to repair your iPhone yourself then this is what you need. Just watch a few youtube videos to make sure you know what you are about to do and get this glass. I have bought a few of these now, because I repair iPhones for friends and family. New Harbor is a superior seller on Amazon and I highly recommend using their products.

I purchased this product for the oem shop but they failed to mention in the product discription that they do not provide the hard plastic shell. I only ordered the product because of the hardshell. I will never purchase anything from the oem shop again. I have demanded a refund immediately.
What is even more odd about the seller is that description even says smoke shell which I have ordered an incipio product before and the silicone shell is referred to as the smoke shell. DO NOT BUY FROM THE OEM SHOP!!!!

Seidio Innocase II Surface Spring Clip Holster Combo for iPhone 3G, 3GS (Black) Review

Seidio Innocase II Surface Spring Clip Holster Combo for iPhone 3G, 3GS (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Recently purchased a new iPhone for my job. Given the amount these things cost (and that the AT&T insurance for the iPhone 3G is non-existent) I wanted to get a hard shell case to protect my investment as well as a belt-clip holster. After looking through literally every option at the local Apple store and not finding anything I liked (even bought another black rubber case / holster combo that I'm no longer using) I noticed this one on a fellow iPhone user. Here's a quick summary of the key features.
1. Very solid hard shell case, though slim enough to allow it to mount on most iPod music stands without removing it. Really hate fat phones.
2. Matte finish with soft rubber-like feel. Easy on the hands, comfortable to grip . . . Not awful shiny hard plastic that feels awful and easily slips out of your grip.
3. Perfect cut outs for all key buttons, camera, mounting doc, and even for the shiny apple on the back--improvement on all those cases, including the one I bought where you have to press the button through the rubber.
4. Low profile holster with belt clip. Clip swivels and is short and easy to get onto and off of my belt. Holds on very securely, will not accidentally pull off. Does not add unnecessary bulk.
5. Spring loaded holster clip allows you to get the phone easily into and out of the holster, but holds phone tightly once you slide it in.
6. And (my favorite feature) the velvet lined holster back prevents the screen from getting scratched while on the go. Note this is a FACE-IN style holster so be aware if you don't like that.
7. Also comes in a choice of three muted colors (black, a rust red, and navy blue). Was tempted to get the blue, but went with all black to match the phone.
All in all this is a beautiful case. Price was right. Many dealers, including iphoniacs.com (where I was looking), sell this as two separate pieces for $30 each. Amazon was the only place where I could find both as a combo for a smaller price ($45-ish). While that's a bit more than some of the other cases it is miles better than all the others (yes I looked at apple's InCase options--not even close) . . . definitely worth the extra $$. All in all very satisfied with this purchase. Highly recommend. You won't be sorry.

Seidio CONVERT Combo for Use with iPhone 3G/3GS (Black) Review

Seidio CONVERT Combo for Use with iPhone 3G/3GS (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
All that needs to be said, is covered in the subject heading. This is far and above a better case than the Otterbox defender. What makes it great is the amazing holster it comes with. The single biggest complaint that people have with the Otterbox is the almost unusable holster it comes with. The defender series holster won't hold the case in at all. I work in construction and got tired of picking my iphone up off the ground 10 times a day when it popped out of the otterbox case. Even got two new holsters sent straight from otterbox, and was still having the iphone pop out all the time. This new seidio case has done what otterbox couldn't. The seidio holster has a locking latch on the top of the holster. You put the iphone in, lock the latch, that iphone ain't going knowwhere. I've had the case and holster for a few weeks now, and haven't had the iphone drop once. You can bang into stuff, hit it with tools, fall on it, and not think twice about you phone still being where you clipped it. That locking latch is a beast. You want a rugged case cause you need protection, not cause you want to pick your iphone up off the ground all time. Hat's off to seidio on this new case and holster combo, they deserve it. About the case, it's just as durable as the otterbox defender, but it has a couple of improvements over otterbox though. One, the screen coverage doesn't leave air bubbles on your screen. That was a huge drawback with the otterbox for me. And yes I tried the baby powder/gold bond method for the otterbox case. Two, you can use the seidio innocase II with this combo, instead of the 360 case it comes with if you want, it fits just fine. If you love the protection the otterbox defender gives, but hate the holster and air bubbles, than this is the case to go with. You won't regret it, at all.

Incipio SILICRYLIC V3 Case for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Classic Black) Review

Incipio SILICRYLIC V3 Case for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Classic Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently bought an iPhone 3gs from ebay and decided I better protect this piece of sexy hardware. So after reading 5 star, 4 star, and 1 star reviews from other cases I ended buying this one.
==First impressions==
When I got my package through the mail, I opened it up and noticed a lot of things immediately. Inside my package were 3 things: an exterior sturdy case, a second rubbery case, and a screen protector? Ignore the screen protector as it is a cheap useless one that won't protect your baby. Buy this screen PhoneDevil Magic Screen protector: Matte Clear (anti-glare) edition - For Apple iPhone 3G & iPhone 3GS it's the best in the market right now and it's done a flawless job of protecting my iPhone 3gs from irritating scratches.
==Style & Fit==
As mentioned before there's 2 components to this case. A Polycarbonate plastic exterior (the sturdy case) which is embedded in a shock absorbing silicone core (the second rubbery case). You place your iPhone/iPod touch in the shock absorbing silicone core first.
It fits in very snuggly and surrounds the iPhone all around 4 sides. It has perfect cut outs for the dock usb connector, ring/silent switch, camera, and headphones plug in. The volume and sleep/wake buttons are covered but outlined by the this shock absorbing silicone case. Also it's important to note that access to the sim card is covered as well.
The second component is the polycarbonate plastic exterior which has to snap on to the back of the shock absorbing case and on all 4 corners of the iPhone. Once completed though you're phone looks like a black beauty; attractive yet seductive.
==Design Flaws==
Should you ever decide to take out your SIM, add a screen protector, or modify your iPhone, you will need to take off the entire case. When you try to take off the exterior polycarbonate case, it gives you a little bit of a hard time since it's snapped so well in place. It isn't extremely tight, but tight enough to be effective at protecting your iPhone.
This is a good and bad thing, because the exterior case does a phenomenal job of protecting your iPhone on all 4 corners and sides, BUT it gives you a hard time to take off when you need to do something to your iPhone. Because of this, the hands of the exterior case has peeled and cut some of the corners of the shock absorbing rubbery silicone case. The peelings weren't serious enough to be a deal breaker, since they're just peels not cut outs, so you can hide them by just letting the peelings lay back in place.
In this case, I blame mostly the shock absorbing case for being weak on the corners. On the bright side, the shock absorbing case wasn't meant to protect the 4 corners of the iPhone just the 4 sides and back of the iPhone. The exterior polycarbonate case more than makes up for this design flaw, because it protects all 4 corners of your iPhone with plenty of polycarbonate between the concrete floor and your phone.
==The Verdict & Some Final Thoughts==
Even though this is my first ever iPhone 3gs case, it's certainly not the first phone or device case I've ever used or seen. I've seen and used many pretentious and useless plastic cases, that are just meant for style. If you want a case that provides a minimalist but accessible approach to style, phenomenal protection, and comfort, then this is the one for you.
Make sure to do what you have to do to your iPhone, like put a screen protector on or change sims, before you put your baby in this case, because it's a hassle to keep taking it off & back on and it messes up the 4 corners of the rubbery case over time. Please don't forget to comment and rate if you found this review helpful. I can't wait for the new iPhone update OSX 4 :)

elago S2 Case for iPhone 3G/3GS (High Glossy) - White + Universal Dock Adapter included
Average Reviews:

I have 3 of these cases that I ordered from elago. They're ok. The problem is that they dont protect the sides of the phone, the case doesn't go up high enough. Also the gloss makes it still somewhat slippery or greasey. Its not as slippery as the phone itself, but still slippery. The high gloss makes it so. It does add some weight to the phone as well. I've ordered cases from all types of manufacturers and have found that Shield makes the best cases. They protect all the way up the sides of the phone and add little to no weight to the phone. You will notice a serious differnce if you switch from elago to shield. I ordered 2 more shield's (I'll have 2 silver and 1 white now) because i like it so much better then the elago.

HTC Aria Android Phone (AT&T) Review

HTC Aria Android Phone (ATandT)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Well, my wife and I have been using our new Aria phones for about a week now. I switched from a Blackberry Bold and she was using a 1st generation iPhone (although hers didn't have any data plan). We also purchased one of the 3G MicroCells from AT&T at the same time - so our cell signal at home is now better than I thought would be possible.
As far as our profiles go: I'm a tech addict - I work at home as a C/C++ programmer and tend to be an early adopter of anything tech related. My wife is kind of the opposite - she relies on me to keep the tech stuff going and tends to resist new technology since she knows it can often be more of a headache than it is worth:).
Fortunately, this phone is working for both of us. The Android OS has been great - although there are some features in the next version (Froyo) that I wish were on this phone already. I spent several hours yesterday figuring out how to 'root' this phone and I did end up getting it done last night. My wife's went a lot faster since I already understood the process.
Here are some things I like about the Aria:
1) The size of the Aria is perfect. It is smaller than either the Blackberry Bold or the iPhone, yet the screen is very usable. This is a very 'pocketable' phone.
2) The touch screen works great. It supports all the common touch controls like zooming, swiping, etc...
3) There is a version of Kindle available for Android! And it works great - I'll still use my Kindle, but this will work when I'm out without it.
4) I like being able to mix programs and widgets on each screen. It took a few days of playing with it, but we both now have our phones setup to work well for us.
5) The text input works well; but, if you decide to root your phone, do yourself a favor and install the latest version of Swype. This has turned out to be an unbelievably great method of inputting text and both my wife and I are loving it for e-mails and texting!
6) The selection of apps available to this phone through the market is great! I've been able to find apps for everything I want, and I'm looking into writing some myself just to see how it works.
7) The voice quality is excellent. When I first started using the phone I would get that 'Wow!' impression every time I talked to someone - even when out of range of the MicroCell.
8) Web browsing is very snappy and easy. This is an area where the Blackberry really sucked, so I'm loving the real browser with Flash.
9) Once I figured out the task switching and status bar at the top, I've found them very useful. On the other hand, I'm not sure my wife will ever take the time to look into those features.
10) I really like that I can get both my personal e-mail (GMail) and work e-mail (Exchange) - and they integrate together very intuitively. I'm using multiple GMail accounts on this phone with no problem.
11) This is one of those phones that really doesn't need a protective case. The back cover is 'rubbery' and easy to grip - and actually seems to be as protective as any additional cover would be. I like the protective cover much more than the decorative cover that comes on the iPhone (that most people end up covering anyway).
12) This phone supports pattern unlocking; which is a much easier form of security than typing a PIN or password. Once again, this is an area where Android comes through against the iPhone. (NOTE: If you connect to Exchange, the pattern unlock feature can be disabled by your Exchange policy - but this can be worked around if you're willing to do some tweaking.)
13) I've been playing around with the voice input for a couple of days and it works great (although it isn't perfect). You can use it anywhere you can enter text - and it just converts your voice to text. I've been alternating between voice input and Swype, depending on whether other people are around who would make fun of me talking to my phone. :)
Things I'm looking forward to:
1) This phone does not support voice dialing through BlueTooth - but the next version (Froyo) does. I am excited to get that feature on this phone.
2) This phone has some nice accessories that seem to be in the pipeline, but they aren't available yet. iPhones, on the other hand, have gobs of accessories available from day one. (My wife wants a red cover for hers so we can tell them apart more easily.)
Things that could be improved:
1) As with any phone, I think we can always wish for better battery life. If I use the phone non-stop through the day (which I did at first), the battery will last an entire day. I can get through about 2 days of normal use without charging. There is an app called 'Advanced Task Killer' in the market that helps with battery life.
2) I wish there was a way to change sound profiles when charging. I found a program called 'Setting Profiles Lite' that does this, but it seems like it should be built into the Android OS like it is in the Blackberry.
3) The contact manager could be improved. When sending a text, for example, it gives the option of every phone number for a contact instead of just mobile numbers...
Anyway, I've probably yammered on enough already; but I really am enjoying this phone. If you're using AT&T, and looking for an alternative to the over-hyped iPhone, then I think this is probably THE phone to get at this point.

iPhone 3GS Digitizer Review

iPhone 3GS Digitizer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The kit arrived quickly and included several additional "guitar pick" tools not shown in the picture. Unfortunately, no directions are included, so I had to search for a YouTube video (from DirectFix)which made it look easier than it was.
I'm an electrical engineer with a lot of experience in do-it-yourself repair projects, but ran into problems following the video instructions. The pry tool was not strong enough to lift the panel, and quickly broke. (In retrospect, one of the "guitar pick" tools might have worked better, if I had known that's what it was for.)
The next problem came when separating the LCD from the glass panel. The video showed it being pried from the bottom edge. Unfortunately, the screw holes on the sides snap together, even with the screws removed, so you really have to release the sides first. But I followed the video, pried from the bottom, and cracked the LCD display in the process.
Finally, if the old glass is shattered, separating it from the plastic frame is messier than advertised.
In my opinion, it's the type of repair that most skilled people could do correctly the second time, after learning from their mistakes on the first attempt. A link to more complete instructions might have helped.
For those wanting an easier (but costlier) do-it-youself repair, you might want to consider ordering the complete panel, digitizer and LCD as an assembled unit. That makes it more of a "plug-in" replacement job, with less potential for grief.

I am an IT Professional of 20 Years. I am also VERY PICKY about my iPhone. This replacement is PERFECT. I cannot tell the difference between this and the orginal glass. NOTE: This installation is TRICKY. Watch the You-Tube Videos FIRST. Also, use the suction cup method to remove the glass - do not pry it up! When it comes to separating the glass from the plastic frame, BREAK THE BROKEN GLASS from the inside out! Then try the hair dryer to melt the glue. It will save you hours. These tips will make sense once you watch the videos. Good Luck!

Full Body Screen Touch Thru(Through) Case for Apple iPhone 3g black (8gb/16gb) by AccessoryWizard
Average Reviews:

I wanted a case that would protect the screen in case it was hit by something. I didn't want scratches on the screen and also show off the White of the iphone :).
The case tightly wraps around the iPhone 3G. The clear screen touches the screen of the iphone. I am able to touch through the screen to actually use the iphone. That is a very big +. The iphone does lose some of its sensitivity so you have to press a little harder. Also on the edges of the screen it also loses a little more sensitivity. There is a skin that protects the case screen while in transit. Take that off or it will look scratchy. Don't have a screen protector on your iphone when you put it into the case or you'll suffer from bubbles and more sensitivity.
I was afraid that the case would make it bulkier but it's really not that bad. I wished that the edge of the case were rounded as it would feel better when held. But it's right now really good.
You can take off the screen cover by itself. It's just glued (poorly) onto the case if you didn't want the screen protection. But then I would just rather buy a different case. The port holes are big enough for me to use Ultimate Ears head phones.
Overall, I give it 4 stars only because of the slight loss of touch sensitivity.

Agent18 Slim Shield Case for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Black)
Average Reviews:

Very slim and very good at protecting the iPhone 3GS. All the buttons are accessible and it is slim enough to fit on my leather belt holder as well as my sports armband. This case is made of hard plastic with recycled materials and has a grip feel on the sides.
The included protective film is very easy to install. I had no air bubbles, however it made the screen look grainy, particularly on white background. It is a somewhat inconvenient to unattach, you need to use a coin to open it up, so if you plan to remove it often, this is not your case.
I looked at many cases and based on my research this is one of the best out there. My second choice was the Incase slider.

Its a replacement battery, works fine. There are plenty of how-to guides on the Internet. I'd recommend a specialty screw driver set as it needs a 0000 philips screw driver. Most 'jeweler' kits don't have a driver that small, so be aware. That is literally the only tool needed to replace the battery on a 3G/3Gs.

Nextware TOUCH Through Case for iPhone 3G, 3G S Review

Nextware TOUCH Through Case for iPhone 3G, 3G S
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There are other cases on the market with similar designs to the Nextware Touch Through Case. There is also the Case-Mate Naked Case, Zofunk, IvySkin Quattro, and probably others I don't know about that also have a built in screen protector. The Nextware is the only one I tried though.
The Nextware case looks very protective. It is one of the bulkier cases but it surrounds your phone with a thick layer of polycarbonate. If you want a thin case this isn't it but if you worry more about protection this one looks very robust. The built in screen protector does give the front of you phone a sleek look though.
Mine is tremendously difficult for me to get off. I might not understand the pictures on the back of the package demonstrating how to remove; when I do what they illustrate the case still doesn't come off; either mine is tighter than most or I'm not interpreting the pictures correctly. I always have to resort to putting the edge of a knife in the crack to pry the case apart. At the same time it has inexplicably popped open on its own.
While the case is bulky the cutouts for the power, volume, and mute controls are large enough for easy access.
When I got my case everyone who saw it complained about the "bubbles." They aren't really bubbles but places where the screen protector sticks to the screen. They aren't visible straight on unless the phone is off or the screen is all the same color. The guy at the AT&T store suggested putting a anti-glare screen protector on my iPhone before the case but I worry about two layers of screen protector making it unresponsive and one of the things I like about shiny protectors over anti-glare is the screen looks sharper and I'd probably loose that. Someone else suggested a fine dusting of baby powder on the screen. This actually did work. I put a little baby powder on a swab and lightly dusted both my screen and the inside of screen protector being careful not to get enough to actually see. No more sticktion and you couldn't see the powder. However, it didn't last long; after a couple of days the bubbles were back. Perhaps there is a better release agent than baby powder.
The sensitivity of the touch screen is a little lower. It takes a slight pressure for my phone to pick up my touch and a little more near the side edges. I find that this actually helps my typing accuracy since I have to type a little more deliberately and I don't get the accidental entries I did before. Games are a little harder to play though.
It isn't perfect but overall I still like this case better than the other I've tried that lack the built in screen protector.

iFrogz Luxe Case for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Silver,Black) Review

I have had the case for 6 months. I am now looking for a replacement. The plastic has held up well and protected my phone. The paint on the case has been chipping and peeling for the last 4+ months. Many people would not like their phone case to look that scratched.
It hasn't scratched my phone at all. It does let significant amounts of dust in the case
While this case was alright, I am going to try something else this time...

Ok...so I've had a few covers for my iphone and have been mostly disappointed. The Elago S2 in soft feeling red was good but the soft feeling covering started peeling so I looked for a new one. I ordered the S3 in 3 colors and wow...what an improvement. Elago took a great cover in the S2 and improved it. The material...instead of the hard plastic that the S2 was this has a rubbery feel to it...but it's not rubber. Still a hard plastic cover...just has a great feel to it. AND it wraps the phone a bit more than the S2...quite an improvement. I was always hitting the silent switch before by accident...the S3 adds a strip of cover in that area and elimates this accidental switching to silent...but you can still access the button quickly and easily when you want to. This cover is very snug and actually feels like it's part of the phone when installed. I love it!!! I have it in this red, yellow and white as well. The red is an outstanding bright red...matches my car. If you want a subdued shade of red this isn't it tho. My stuggestion to Elago...keep this design and come out with more colors...I would love to have more colors...a bright pink would be GREAT.
