Unlocked V90 Touch Screen Phone Slide Out QWERTY Keyboard Dual SIM GSM Quad Band WIFI Facebook email - No Contract ATandT T-Mobile

To begin with, the moment I opened the box, I loved what I saw. The phone looks very fancy, neat and a class apart. The screen's sensitivity to touch is excellent.
My problem with this phone so far is that it cannot connect to the internet. It has wifi but I can't figure out why it cannot get to wireless internet, much as it does detect the network. Everyone in the house is able to use the wireless on their phones and Hitachi but this phone sucks a million times, I have tried several times, including getting to face book but nothing fruitful, instead it tries to connect and then it goes 'unable to connect'
The user manual is the worst I have seen my entire life. If the manufacturer cannot understand that a user manual is supposed to guide someone on how to use a device, then they would better not waste time writing the manual for this phone. A manual is supposed to explain how a function operates, how it is operated, the advantages and disadvantages and what to do in case the function screws you up, but this manual is far from this. In the manual, there are only bullet points which are a repetition of what is in the list of contents, I was so disapointed that the manual is so useless, so useless and I repeat again 'so useless indeed'
I am still looking online to see how to best use this phone, however, there is not enough information online about this product and I thought that is a bummer, no reviews except the sales language that promote this phone by the manufacturer/sellers.
Friends, if you like to get this phone, be warned that you might face internet connection. I have only had it for a week, but I am sure I might find more flaws.
On another note, the call quality is really good, all the phone basics are okay including text messaging and pictures, etc, but if you like to explore different things using a phone, then this one is not the best.
However, I am still hopeful and continuing my search on how to get connected on the net. Some of the information I got on other sites indicate that this phone's connectivity works best on GSM network, which I have also failed. I am trying again for the next one week, and then I can ship back to Amazon for either a replacement or a refund.
If anyone has used this phone before and has been able to figure out what I am talking about here, I would appreciate their suggestions.

Seidio SURFACE Case for Palm Pre - Black Review

Seidio SURFACE Case for Palm Pre - Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As frugal as I am, it was hard to order this case after seeing all the other "cheaper" options. I did my research though and everone said get this one, even though I hadn't seen it in person. After receiving my Seidio case two days ago though, I say it's absolutely worth the money. The feel of it is hard to describe. It's a rubberish feeling semi-hard silicon? It has the same feel of the back cover for the Touchstone, if you've seen it.
The best thing I can say about it, and the ultimate reason to get the Seidio is that once you snap it on, it feels like it's part of the phone. I used to work in a phone store and always hated all the aftermarket cases because they felt like you stuck a cheap piece of plastic or rubber on your nice elegant phone. Not this one, it's like they were made for each other.
I had the Rocketfish one from Best Buy for the last month and even though they look the same in pictures, let me tell you, the Seidio is 10 times better. The rocketfish is a cheap hard plastic, that hinders your buttons and feels like it doubles the size of the phone.
The only bad thing I can say is that since it's a thinner case, it may not protect the phone as well as one of the other thicker cases if you drop it. However, imo, that trade-off in adding the bulk and clumsiness of a thicker case is not worth that little extra protection.

Seidio Ultimate Screen Guard for Motorola DROID X/Droid X 2 - 2 Pack Review

Seidio Ultimate Screen Guard for Motorola DROID X/Droid X 2 - 2 Pack
Average Reviews:

I bought this 2-pack of screen protectors based on the reviews here. When I got my Droid X from Verizon I picked up some of their screen protectors to hold me over. The Verizon ones were more opaque and only covered the display area of the screen, not the surrounding surfaces.
The Seidio protector was easy to install and covers the entire face of my Droid X thus offering more protection. The Seidio protectors are also crystal clear and make the display really pop. Unfortunately, they produce a ton of glare and are way more susceptible to fingerprints and smudging. Keep that in mind when buying these.

360 Degree Rotatable Car Windshield Holder Suction Mount for Apple iPhone 3G / 3G S Black (8gb/16gb/32gb) by AccessoryWizard Review

360 Degree Rotatable Car Windshield Holder Suction Mount for Apple iPhone 3G / 3G S Black (8gb/16gb/32gb) by AccessoryWizard

I bought this item in January of 2009. I thought it was the greatest holder I have ever seen because it rotates and mounts to my windshield. In the beginning I thought it was tough to take the iPhone out of the holder but eventually I did not mind until it broke.
In April of 2009, 3 months into using this holder the clip holding the iPhone broke then 2 days later the suction cup came off.
Besides it breaking it has a design flaw that started to annoy me from the beginning. The holder that attaches to the mount is upside down. Many times I would have the iPhone in the mount and put the headphone jack to my car in the top of the iPhone. When I did this the holder came off the mount. When I reverse the iPhone the jack is covered up and I can not play my music through the stero.
Pro:
People-oriented design: Adjustable neck (GooseNeck)
Flexible arm allows fine tuning of positioning
Con:
Bad design: when using the headphone jack the holder will come off the mount.
It broke 2 different ways in 3 months from purchase
You cannot use the camera when in the holder. I guess you could drill a hole but I never got to that.
The suction cup came off every week.
I have yet to find a better solution but I will continue to look.

Samsung Intensity II SCH-U460 Phone, Metallic Blue (Verizon Wireless) Review

Samsung Intensity II SCH-U460 Phone, Metallic Blue (Verizon Wireless)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recieved this phone as a gift, and with everything that I aquire (though usually before) I looked up reviews of it online. I was terrified. I could not find one good review about this phone. It's not the greatest that there is, but I do think that people are judging it a bit too harshly.
The phone has not locked up on me, though sometimes it does take a second or slightly less to switch screens. Everything about it may seem kind of disorganized at first, but now I am completely used to it and have no problem with its layout.
There has been some complaints about the camera. It's not a bad camera. Granted, no, it doesn't have video, but if you are really that interested in video perhaps you should buy an actual camera to fill that need.
The music player sounds great (I do have a 4GB in my phone, but just about every phone these days benefits from a mini sd), and can go to quite a loud volume.
The full keyboard is nice once you remember where the function and shift keys are in your mind. And it is quite wonderful that it doesn't require any extra button pushing in order to get a period.
So overall? This phone is not as bad as it seems in all of these reviews. It's a free phone from verizon. It's not going to be the best there is on the market, but I have no problems with saying that it is enough. I'm not disappointed with it.

Samsung Instinct HD Phone (Sprint) Review

Samsung Instinct HD Phone (Sprint)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is by far the worst cell I have ever owned. What a waste for my "upgrade" to my old instinct. This POS is junk and unfortunately it seems Samsung phones are on a steady decline which makes me sad because I have always loved the Samsung products. They were always reliable and offered technology ahead of competitors. So here are the reasons why you should avoid this piece of you know what.
-software is laggy - meaning it freezes up and stutters. Just try typing a text as it stops typing and stutters...this by far is the most annoying feature of the phone and it will drive you crazy.
-email application is a joke and without the ability of reading any html coded messages forget about seeing any graphics
-battery life is a joke...i rarely surf the net in part because the browser is terrible but I am lucky to make a few phone calls and net and at the end of the day the battery is dead.
-application...funny because there are none for this phone. Instinct HD a supposed upgrade to instinct has less apps than the original predecessor. The facebook/myspace apps are a joke and never work, its better to login via the net. You cannot add ringtones other than spending $2.50 via sprint what a waste. The technology is outdated as everything is either andrioid or Iphone.
I could go on but I am tired of it. This phone sucks...it is by far the worst. The absolutely only good thing about it was the camera. It worked great and did actually take decent pictures and it worked well as an HD camcorder as well but that does not save the phone from being a turd. AVOID!

I ordered this case to replace a different case that broke after less than a year. This case is better than I expected. It fits nicely over the phone without adding extra bulk. My son uses this phone and, as a teenager, is very hard on phones. I believe this case will protect the phone, he is happy with the case and uses it, so we both win!

Palm Centro White Phone (AT&T) Review

Palm Centro White Phone (ATandT)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this phone a few weeks ago when I was eligible for an upgrade. I decided to get the Centro because I find myself texting sometimes and wanting to write e-mails on my phone. (I used to have a Nokia 6030, and it's a good phone, but it's got a standard cell phone number keypad.)
My favorite thing about the phone is the Palm OS. If you've got another Palm, and you don't want to spend the money on a Treo 755p, then trust me -- this should be your phone.
Most, but not all Palm apps will transfer nicely over to the Centro. This is a huge benefit if you've got a bunch of Palm apps already, like I do. Out of the box, you can put all those apps on it, and have a phone more useful than any iPhone or BlackBerry out there. And if you've got a wireless keyboard, that'll work with the Centro, too, meaning you can use it for larger e-mails and working on Word documents (Oh, did I mention that Documents to Go is included in the box? :))
So here are the main advantages:
1) QWERTY keyboard
2) Tons of apps (and lots more free apps out there, if you look).
3) Simple Palm UI. Palm has always been the master of the intuitive UI, and this is no exception.
4) Pocket Tunes Deluxe included, which means that (preferably with an unlimited data plan) you can stream music from sites like shoutcast.com.
5) Free voice dialing included (with AT&T Centro -- NOT Sprint).
Some things not to like about the phone:
1) It's got Bluetooth, but you can't voice dial from a Bluetooth headset (at least, not natively -- there might be an app fix, but I don't know of one).
2) The keyboard is designed for tween/teen fingers. If you've got larger fingers, you'll have some trouble adjusting. Adjusting is possible, though. After about 3 weeks, I can type pretty proficiently (though I still look at the keys).
3) It doesn't come with any kind of micro-SD card. I know this might not sound like much of an omission, but when you've only got 64MB to play with, you'll start feeling that pretty fast -- especially if you're moving from a device like a Palm TX, that's got more memory. on board. Get yourself a decent-sized micro-SD card as soon as you can.
If the Centro had larger keys for the keyboard and the ability to voice dial over Bluetooth, I would've given it 5 stars. But as it is, it's almost perfect!

Life starts after five o'clock. Not coincidentally, that's also when the Palm Centro smartphone comes alive. Not only does the Palm Centro handle all your favorite voice functions, but it also offers text, IM, e-mail, and web access--all in a body that's a lot smaller than you'd think. Add a 1.3-megapixel camera, 64 MB of internal memory, Bluetooth connectivity for headsets, MicroSD expansion, and a full QWERTY keyboard and you have a terrific smartphone for all your messaging and personal needs. You'll be able to get to where you're going fast with support for TeleNav GPS Navigator software (which requires an optional Bluetooth GPS receiver). And this quad-band GSM version of the Centro for AT&T also features walkie talkie-style Push to Talk (PTT) communication in addition to voice dialing and speakerphone capabilities. The integrated Palm OS 5.4.9 operating system also plays nicely with Windows XP and Vista as well as Mac OS X 10.2 and higher.

AT&T Service This phone operates on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 networks and can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"), with availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. This third-generation, high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.
The phone has a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's MEdia Net service enables you to receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more. The AT&T Mobile Music platform includes the ability to sideload music with Napster and eMusic with the built-in Pocket Tunes Deluxe application, listen to live radio with XM Radio Mobile, discover new songs with MusicID and more. You can also access XM Radio Mobile, which provides 25 of the best XM Radio channels, featuring commercial-free rock, hip-hop, country, jazz and more (additional monthly fee; free three-day trial included).
With a database of more than 3 million artists and titles, you can use MusicID to identify an unknown song. While holding the Centro up to a speaker, the MusicID application returns song information such as title, artist and cover art, if available. It also keeps track of previous IDs and allows users to share song information with friends via text messages (additional monthly fee; free three-day trial included).
It's also MobiTV capable, which enables you to watch live television, premium and prime-time programming, video-on-demand clips and satellite and digital music services from the top broadcast and cable television networks and major music labels (additional monthly charges are applicable).
You can take advantage of the TeleNav GPS Navigator software, the full-featured premium navigation application that includes audible turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic updates and re-routing options, and 3D moving maps. It comes as a 30-day trial version, and it can be downloaded via the TeleNav web site or via virtual pre-load icon (VPL) after activation.
You can also instantly talk across the largest Push to Talk (PTT) network coverage area in America. Push to Talk works like a walkie-talkie to talk to an individual or a group of up to 29 users. With status icons that clearly indicate the availability of friends and family, Push to Talk customers will know who is free before they call. You can purchase unlimited Push to Talk minutes with with single or family plans, or use Push to Talk on a pay-per-use basis that's charged by the minute.Design The Palm Centro boasts a sleek glacier white housing that measures a mere 4.2 by 2.1 by 0.7 inches (HxWxD) and weighs 4.2 ounces. It's notably smaller than many competing smartphones, yet doesn't sacrifice functionality at any point along the way. Users will also love the 320 x 320 touchscreen (up to 65,000 colors), which offers a crisp resolution for photos and videos. And thanks to the full QWERTY keyboard, you can say L8R to those tricky keys on your old cell phone.
Phone and Messaging Functions The Palm Centro smartphones offers a ton of ways to stay in touch with friends, whether calling, firing off a quick text, instant messaging, or sending an e-mail. From a phone perspective, the Palm Centro lets you dial people right from your address book, set up three-way calls from the touch of a button, or use the speakerphone to talk hands-free. The keyboard, meanwhile, makes it a breeze to type complete messages whether you're sending text, pictures, or even audio or video clips. Plus, the Centro keeps all your messages in a chat-style view, so it's easy to keep track of the conversation.
Want to keep up with all the latest gossip when you're away from the computer? Turn to the Centro's instant messaging functions, which support all your buddy lists on AIM, MSN, and Yahoo. It also supports Good Mobile Messaging after an over-the-air (OTA) download of the software.. Similarly, the Centro lets you access your personal e-mail accounts, such as Gmail, AOL, and Yahoo. As a result, you can reply to invites and answer e-mails when you're out and about.
Web Functions Whether you're keeping up with friends on Facebook or looking up directions to the new bistro across town, the Centro's touchscreen and keyboard make it fun to navigate around the web. The Centro includes a fast built-in web browser that lets you check out photos on Flickr quickly via AT&T's EDGE data network. The Centro is also compatible with Google Maps, making it simple to get directions or see which freeways are clear and which ones are parking lots. Google Maps shows you red, yellow, or green traffic routes in real time.
Organizer Functions The Palm Centro includes a complete organizer for keeping track of all your daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities. The contacts list gathers all your friends' phone numbers, addresses, and more, while the calendar keeps you from missing upcoming meetings, events, and parties. You can even enter a friend's birthday in the contacts list and will automatically show up in your calendar. As with the best organizers, the Centro also offers a to-do list that lets you check off items when they're complete. As a result, it's easy to keep track of what you did and still need to do. And should you come across a tidbit that doesn't have a logical home, simply turn to the memo function, which lets you store random information such as hot spots in Vegas or the names of movies you'd like to rent. Say goodbye to carrying around crumpled scraps of paper in your pocket or purse. Finally, it's possible to save a copy of all those names, numbers, appointments, photos, and videos on your computer thanks to the sync function.
Multimedia Whether you want to take pictures, play videos, or listen to music, the Palm Centro has got you covered. The 1.3-megapixel digital camera (with a 2x digital zoom) lets you shoot pictures and send them to friends, store digital albums, or shoot videos. The built-in MP3 player, meanwhile, lets you take your tunes everywhere you go. With 64 MB of storage, there's plenty of room for your playlists, plus you can add up to 4 GB more with a microSD card. And thanks to Pocket Tunes Deluxe, you can play the songs you downloaded from online music stores.
Vital Statistics The Palm Centro weighs 4.2 ounces and measures 4.2 x 2.1 x 0.7 inches. Its 1150 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 3 hours of talk time, and up to 240 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/900/1800/1900 GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequencies.

Motorola DROID X Screen Protector (Motorola MB810) Review

Motorola DROID X Screen Protector (Motorola MB810)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Size-wise it fits the screen absolutely perfectly, and it's pretty easy to apply. Each side of the cover has a thin sheet of cellophane over it to protect the cover while you are installing it. You first remove one side's cellophane and install it on the Droid X screen. Then you smooth out bubbles with the included cardboard smoother tool. Then you remove the outer piece of cellophane. I had some trouble getting this outside piece off because the little doohickey sticker you're supposed to pull to remove it came off, and so I had to mess around trying to separate the temporary cellophane from the actual screen protector. Ultimately I managed. There are also a couple of small spots along the edge of the protector where it will not adhere to the Droid's screen. This doe not really bug me since it is on the screen's non-viewable border. It's sticking where it is most important, and it doesn't look bad - likely no one else would notice it, but I'm a perfectionist. The protector seems tough, and the touchscreen is just as sensitive with the protector as without. It is utterly clear and see-through, and I have not noticed any difference in picture quality - no distortion (Planet of the Vampires has never looked better than on the Droid X - so cool!) If this protector ever gets damaged I will likely order the same kind as a replacement.
UPDATE: Nearly two months after purchase, protector is in same condition. I have not dropped my phone or anything, so in that sense the protector has not been tested, but it is still adhering to the screen fine and no new bubbles have appeared.
UPDATE II: After 6 months the protector is beginning to show some signs of wear and tear: a couple of points literally about the size of a grain of sand appear to be "disconnected" from the Droid's screen itself, but the protector as a whole is still very securely adhered in place. I'm pretty careful with my phone - I don't keep it in my pocket with change, keys etc., but there are now several small scratches on the protector. But it is, after all, a screen protector, so better it than the Droid's screen, right? It would be unreasonable to expect anything more from a $3 item after 6 months. It is still very acceptable, and I would not be surprised if it was a year before I decided to get a new one, and it would definitely be the same brand. Given all of this, I'm raising my rating from 4 to 5 stars. This item is a rare bargain, and I will probably order a couple at a time now to last me through the life of my Droid.
Hope this info has been helpful.

Palm Treo 750 Unlocked Phone with 3G, MP3/Video Player, and MiniSD Slot--U.S. Version with Warranty Review

Palm Treo 750 Unlocked Phone with 3G, MP3/Video Player, and MiniSD Slot--U.S. Version with Warranty

So I'm reading some reviews on the Treo 750 and it seems all the negative reviews are by people who are completely incompetent with technology and using Google. Let me first warn anyone who is technologically handicapped, do not buy this phone. You will get lost in all the OPTIONS, that are available within the phone.
On with my review:
Windows Mobile can do basically everything you want, just not in the prettiest manners. Upon receiving my Treo 750, it came with Windows Mobile 6. It worked well but had some slight bugs, so I upgraded to 6.1 which also has bugs but none that bother me. 6.1 is definitely snappier than the bundled version of windows mobile 6. You WILL NOT find the upgrade on Palm's Website, you'll need to Google this.
Call Quality: 8/10
Calls are crisp and clear. I have no problems hearing the other person in a busy street, and they have no problems hearing me. Although the speaker phone is slightly distorted at higher volume.
Battery Life: 8/10
Windows mobile devices and any other smart phone/pda (ie. Iphone, Blackberry) are known to have battery life that doesn't last. This is because of the processing power in these devices. The Treo has a 312mhz processor. My first Pentium II computer had a 300mhz processor. Seriously, what do you expect? My experience with the treo is that it will last me an entire day with heavy usage, but when I have it on standby (meaning not using it for anything) the battery last for at least 2 to 3 days.
Overall Design: 7/10
It's a little thick but this phone came out in Dec 2007, so it's not surprising. The curves on the side make it feel thinner than it really is and makes the phone feel very nice in your hand. The rubbery feel of the body is nice, and not slippery. The small keys take getting use to, but once you do, you type extremely fast. The screen is nice, bright, and big, but I wish it was at least 320x320 instead of 240x240.
Usability: 8/10
Windows Mobile is a powerful operating system, there are programs to do basically anything, but it isn't all in one place like you have it on the Android phones or Iphone. There are thousands of free programs and others are paid. I personally don't need any programs that you need to pay for.
Cons:
- Windows Media player will absolutely not goto the next song in the play list unless you have the ringer set to on instead of vibrate.
- In 6.1, the screen is still enabled when you press the power button to view the time while in locked mode.
-Interface isn't fun to look at.
-Lacks wi-fi
Conclusion:
I'm waiting for version 6.5 and 7 of windows mobile to come out which drastically changes the way Windows Mobile looks and also includes a app store. If you can get this phone for under $200, i would say do it. If you like to text message, the threaded sms is great. Few bugs in the OS but doesn't affect the overall usage. And the amount of software available for windows mobile is overwhelming.
