(More customer reviews)I need a dual-sim and have tried a Samsung, which went unstable after 1 year. I bought this DST-L1 and after the latest sw update I am very pleased with it. It has lots of features - and most of all: it's a good phone with good sound, good sensitivity and good battery economy.
It works fine here in Denmark.
The only thing I lack is Android Market, but there is plenty of other good sw outthere.
I am very pleased with this phone.

Next day i regretted buying this piece of phone! I really don't know what happend, but it wouldnt turn back on, batteries? IDK... screen too small u couldnt use ur fingertips! n the lil pen that came with it, is was so freaking small n annoying that i lost it the same day i got it! lMAo another bad thing about this celly is that i couldnt personalized the ringtones, i had to use the one that came with the phone, Ewww, BORiNG, so NOT original lOl!

First I want to refer to the portoguese Instruction Manual.
I received mine with a very good and extensive Instruction Manual in English and Chinese.
So no problem what so ever there.
About the back being of a plastic material .... Truth.
But the only time I opened the phone was to insert the 2 sims (different providers)
So it does not matter at all. maybe even better as for the total weight.
I bought this phone as I have lost my money with the previous one I purchased, which was the CECT Airphone 4.
This LG is so much better then the CECT Airphone 4. Which was a disaster.
Going to change my review on that one.
The LG GX500 is 100% to my liking. The picture quality is ok, not moving objects. And with good lichting.
The MP3 sound is exceptional good. The FM-Radio is perfect. I use 2 SIMS and it works flawlessly.
Serving the internet is not as fast as on a PC (ofcourse) but is good enough for me to check my mail or need to google something. Not for extensive web serving of course. Maybe the more expensive models?
The most important thing of course is the phone. The sound of both sims are perfect.
And dialing is as it must be.
I have not found one fault with this phone after using it for 6 weeks now. But again I have to say, with the experience I had with the Airphone 4, this is just so good.
This time I took more time experimenting with the phone before posting a review. So it get the full 5 stars.

(More customer reviews)To begin with, the moment I opened the box, I loved what I saw. The phone looks very fancy, neat and a class apart. The screen's sensitivity to touch is excellent.
My problem with this phone so far is that it cannot connect to the internet. It has wifi but I can't figure out why it cannot get to wireless internet, much as it does detect the network. Everyone in the house is able to use the wireless on their phones and Hitachi but this phone sucks a million times, I have tried several times, including getting to face book but nothing fruitful, instead it tries to connect and then it goes 'unable to connect'
The user manual is the worst I have seen my entire life. If the manufacturer cannot understand that a user manual is supposed to guide someone on how to use a device, then they would better not waste time writing the manual for this phone. A manual is supposed to explain how a function operates, how it is operated, the advantages and disadvantages and what to do in case the function screws you up, but this manual is far from this. In the manual, there are only bullet points which are a repetition of what is in the list of contents, I was so disapointed that the manual is so useless, so useless and I repeat again 'so useless indeed'
I am still looking online to see how to best use this phone, however, there is not enough information online about this product and I thought that is a bummer, no reviews except the sales language that promote this phone by the manufacturer/sellers.
Friends, if you like to get this phone, be warned that you might face internet connection. I have only had it for a week, but I am sure I might find more flaws.
On another note, the call quality is really good, all the phone basics are okay including text messaging and pictures, etc, but if you like to explore different things using a phone, then this one is not the best.
However, I am still hopeful and continuing my search on how to get connected on the net. Some of the information I got on other sites indicate that this phone's connectivity works best on GSM network, which I have also failed. I am trying again for the next one week, and then I can ship back to Amazon for either a replacement or a refund.
If anyone has used this phone before and has been able to figure out what I am talking about here, I would appreciate their suggestions.

All the menus are in Polish or Ukrainian including the manuals and software...
Amazon makes no mention of this fact.
The phone can be changed to English - with some difficulty- I had to figure this out by trail and error.... but some features are locked and remain in Polish.
When you reboot the phone it reverts to Polish.
The basic functions work and if you can live with the "language" then the phone is worth it. you get a nice Dual SIM GSM phone for under $200.00
You don' have access to the "Advanced" menu [ password protected] to change features such as call back.
this is a problem if you need to disable this feature for you SIM providers system to work.
if you are using a call back provider like "Roam4Less" stay away from this phone.
Not sure if the other version on Amazon. com;The Samsung B5722 [not GT model] is the English version or can access the advanced menu.

(More customer reviews)i'd owned the d880 duos before and while it was a great phone it was difficult to use and required some learning to master it; got this one and unfortunately found myself with an instruction manual in french. but it's been quite easy to use has decent battery life and the spare battery provided with it's own charging and carry compartment make this a fine phone plus it looks and feels great ... touchscreen's very responsive you never need to use the stylus ... all in all .. great phone ... for a great price ... don't regret buying it one bit and allows me to access both my lines simultaneous using the call hold / call waiting feature ... great stuff....

(More customer reviews)This is a fantastic phone. I had been looking for a quad band, dual-sim, dual-standby phone for a while with little luck. I had tried some of the Asian off-brand phones, but none of the ones that I tried worked well, or felt good in my hand.
Now, to the B5702:
Pros: Solid construction. It feels like a well engineered product. The slide mechanism is smooth and tight. The keypad is responsive and has a very nice tactile feedback. The dual-sim aspect is the key selling point for this phone. It allowed me to get away from carrying two phones. However, even without that feature, this phone has a lot going for it. The voice quality is outstanding, certainly rating among the best I've used.
Cons: The number one complaint that I have about this phone is that the speaker phone function doesn't have a high enough volume. If you're in a relatively quiet room, the speaker phone works quite well, but if there is much background noise you have to hold the phone up to your ear to hear, even when it's on speaker phone. The only other significant complaint is that the camera on this phone rates among the worst of the point-and-shoot cameras as far as shutter response speed. Despite this, the actual image quality is pretty good. Also, for those that care, this is not a 3G phone, relying rather on the older Edge technology.
All around, this is a great phone. While it is not truly a Smart Phone, for those who are looking for a great phone with dual-sim capabilities, this is a first class choice.

And because I was out of the country (Which was the purchase reason), i had to go without the use of the phone because their was no place that had the same charger or one to match. I notified the sailer and I was,informing them that i will keep the phone if I could just receive a another charger. Their reply was that i needed to return the defective item in its original package. Of course that was impossible because not only had I not retain the box and rapping it came in but I had taken the phone with me out of the country.Had I known that the charger would be defective, i would have kept the packaging. So, nonetheless, I am stuck with a phone that can't be charged. I think that instructions /info that the retailer should have made known, is the fact that all packaging should be retained for up to a certain period in order to be refunded or defective items to be replaced.

(More customer reviews)I really wanted this thing to work, but there were multiple problems with it that I simply could not deal with.
Generally, the phone is actually quite nice. The build quality is very good all things considered. Buttons felt nice, case was very sturdy, screen looked good, touch screen worked well. Call quality was decent. Reception was decent (Wifi was much more acceptable :P) It ran Java software quite well and even surfed the internet quite well using Opera...but that's about the end of it.
First drawback, this particular model DOES NOT have a TV tuner or FM radio as many others do. Even on the box it states it has an FM tuner, but there was no "App" or antenna.
Next, the apps are all locked. While this wasn't too bad, it got very annoying with the Opera app. Opera Mini 4.2 launched using the App button. However, it had 5.0 loaded, you just has go to through the Java menu to find it. Oh, and when I upgraded to the latest Opera, it downloaded some version for an Ericsson phone. While it worked, the keyboard was a little deformed.
Going on, I really wanted to use it to watch Youtube videos. However, anytime they were accessed, the screen would just go black then the unit would reboot. I found many complaints regarding this and even solutions, but nothing ever seemed to correct the problem.
Honestly, with some better, perhaps slightly more customizable software, this phone would have been pretty nice. But I simply couldn't deal with it as it was. In the end, I purchased a Nokia E63 for the same price (well a few bucks less!) and couldn't be more happy.

I had used iPhone/iPod touch and Droid phones and found the LG GX500's touch screen to be inferior -- it's less sensitive, sluggish, and doesn't respond as well to fingers. The included stylus works fine, but the lack of a Palm-style, built-in sheath for the stylus is a drag. Instead, LG opted for a dangling holder that looks like an eye pencil. Once the touch is registered by the phone, the response time is slow, i.e. the icon you've clicked takes too long to act, making this sequence annoyingly frequent: you tap on, for example, the phonebook icon. It doesn't respond immediately. You tap again. Your first tap takes effect -- the phonebook opens -- and the second one does, too -- you have now selected a name in the phonebook. You have to select back to "undo" the unwanted second action.
The handwriting feature is nice, but again it is too slow and way inferior to what the Palm Pilot offered a decade ago.
I never got around to trying out the cameras, the music player, or any of the pretty large selection of apps included.
I don't think it's worth the price, given superior tech available. No way is this an "iPhone killer" (which is, IMO, tiresome -- just get an iPhone if it, being so good, needs to constantly be killed!) -- for those needing a touchscreen, no phone in my experience even comes close to the feel, action, sensitivity, response and accuracy of Apple's touch technology.

As you know this cell phone doesn't have 3G or Wi-Fi, the design is pretty good and the touch screen responds well but the camera even it is 5M pixels is far away from the quality of other models that cost less, the led flash doesn't help so much and the time respond to take a picture is not the best, talking about memory is good to know that it supports up to 8GB of external memory. in conclusion the cell phone is good if only you need is to handle 2 sim cards as the same time and you are not worry to spend more or less 400USD (including shipping and taxes ) in a cell phone. Maybe the only I really don't like on this phone is the fact that the battery is only 950mAh what means that if you don't want to run out of battery the next day you must charge it every night, this is because the cell phone can go from full charge to low battery in a moment so it shows that the system that handle the charge of the cell phone is not accurate to the consume.

It came with two batteries, usb cord for battery charger and connection to pc and headset. It was the first time purchasing a unlocked cell phone so was worried whether the sims would work. They worked instantly! The phone is very easy to navigate, believe me we would be lost if we had to depend on the manual, which is written in poorly translated Chinese.
It is quite lightweight yet sturdy. The touchscreen operates well for now. The dual sim works which is the feature that he needed. Calls are received from either sim with no switching. He is pleased and so am I.

The Dual phone feature is great and it handles well the call and dialling to the different SIM cards. I'm still not able to load any eBook on the Bookshelf Directory, but I hope to find out soon how to do it since I was able to download the User Manual from Manufacturer web site.
Over all I'm satisfied with my purchase which was really mainly driven by the SAR value of this device: the lowest on market.
