All the menus are in Polish or Ukrainian including the manuals and software...
Amazon makes no mention of this fact.
The phone can be changed to English - with some difficulty- I had to figure this out by trail and error.... but some features are locked and remain in Polish.
When you reboot the phone it reverts to Polish.
The basic functions work and if you can live with the "language" then the phone is worth it. you get a nice Dual SIM GSM phone for under $200.00
You don' have access to the "Advanced" menu [ password protected] to change features such as call back.
this is a problem if you need to disable this feature for you SIM providers system to work.
if you are using a call back provider like "Roam4Less" stay away from this phone.
Not sure if the other version on Amazon. com;The Samsung B5722 [not GT model] is the English version or can access the advanced menu.

I had used iPhone/iPod touch and Droid phones and found the LG GX500's touch screen to be inferior -- it's less sensitive, sluggish, and doesn't respond as well to fingers. The included stylus works fine, but the lack of a Palm-style, built-in sheath for the stylus is a drag. Instead, LG opted for a dangling holder that looks like an eye pencil. Once the touch is registered by the phone, the response time is slow, i.e. the icon you've clicked takes too long to act, making this sequence annoyingly frequent: you tap on, for example, the phonebook icon. It doesn't respond immediately. You tap again. Your first tap takes effect -- the phonebook opens -- and the second one does, too -- you have now selected a name in the phonebook. You have to select back to "undo" the unwanted second action.
The handwriting feature is nice, but again it is too slow and way inferior to what the Palm Pilot offered a decade ago.
I never got around to trying out the cameras, the music player, or any of the pretty large selection of apps included.
I don't think it's worth the price, given superior tech available. No way is this an "iPhone killer" (which is, IMO, tiresome -- just get an iPhone if it, being so good, needs to constantly be killed!) -- for those needing a touchscreen, no phone in my experience even comes close to the feel, action, sensitivity, response and accuracy of Apple's touch technology.

(More customer reviews)This is LG cell phone is a good alternative for the persons like me that have to deal with two phones at the same time, and taking on count that the market of the brands that we used to have like nokia, sony will never offer this feature on their cell phones, LG seems to be one of the few possibilities that we have in a known brand. As you know this cell phone doesn't have 3G or Wi-Fi, the design is pretty good and the touch screen responds well but the camera even it is 5M pixels is far away from the quality of other models that cost less, the led flash doesn't help so much and the time respond to take a picture is not the best, talking about memory is good to know that it supports up to 8GB of external memory. in conclusion the cell phone is good if only you need is to handle 2 sim cards as the same time and you are not worry to spend more or less 400USD (including shipping and taxes ) in a cell phone. Maybe the only I really don't like on this phone is the fact that the battery is only 950mAh what means that if you don't want to run out of battery the next day you must charge it every night, this is because the cell phone can go from full charge to low battery in a moment so it shows that the system that handle the charge of the cell phone is not accurate to the consume.

(More customer reviews)The phone is a great product. Battery life is excellent. I've gone three days full without recharge with heavy useage of the FM Radio, Music and talk time and only now seeing the battery colour change from blue to green. (colour changes according to battery strength: blue = good to excellent/fully charged; green = medium level; red = time for recharge). Does not support MicroSDHC cards but if you can find an 8GB MicroSD card, you're well on your way.
The overal feel of the phone is good, nice large 3" screen to view your photos and videos. Picture quality is good as well for a 3.0 megapixel camera.
Supports dual text input (querty onscreen keyboard + manual key input like that of basic phones). There are a lot of features that I like including auto off and auto on. Supports phone lock. While it doesn't support voice or picture dial, it makes a great companion especially as it supports two sim cards meaning one can simultaneously run two different phone networks from two different providers on one phone.
Drawbacks:
1. The unavailability of software to use the com port as a dialup modem especially in areas where one may not get internet while travelling. I haven't done a comprehensive search as yet but it looks like it may be emulating one of the samsungs. Somehow it is identified on some computers as a samsung (the removeable drive part that is). If I find something, I'll be sure to update this review. That's why I stopped short of giving it a 5 star rating.
2. mp4 support is spotty. Depending on the encoder used, you might have problems playing back. So be sure to check carefully what encoder is used. It's best to stick with avi.
It does come, however, with a spare battery, microphone/headset combination headphones (could be a bit more dynamic) usb charger both for wall and pc.
Finally, bluetooth speeds are exceptional. This completely blows away my Motorola W510 in terms of bluetooth speed transfers. That alone is an added bonus. All in all, a good phone and I'm satisfied with my purchase.
