This is a beautifully stitched and well made case/holster, well worth the price. However if you own a Shadow as stated in the title, or even the thicker Fuze, it will be swimming inside. Though I highly doubt it would ever fall out, so much extra space is not confidence building when trying to protect your equipment.

Trident CY-DX-PK Cyclops Case for Motorola Droid X (Pink) Review

Trident CY-DX-PK Cyclops Case for Motorola Droid X (Pink)
Average Reviews:

As soon as I installed this case on my phone, I liked it better than the Otterbox Defender case that I had been using. The notification bar is easier to access with the Trident case than with the Otterbox. Also, the buttons on the front of the phone are larger and easier to push with the Trident case as opposed to the Otterbox. In addition to the Trident's built-in screen protector, I have the Folsom Transparent Screen Protector installed [...], and the the touchscreen works just fine. This is a nice product, and I'll probably get one for my husband's phone (in another color, of course!).

Motorola Droid X "Black Carbon Fiber" Full Body Protection by Phantom Skinz Review

Motorola Droid X Black Carbon Fiber Full Body Protection by Phantom Skinz
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I can't say enough good things about my Carbon Fiber skin or my dealings with Phantom Skinz. First the skin looks AMAZING! I've read that some people took longer than others, but I had no trouble with installation. I had also read that they make the skins with the ability to pull in order to make seams match up. It worked like a charm. I pulled too much a couple of times, but just clipped the excess with scissors and no worries. I've had the Carbon Fiber on for about three weeks now with no problems. I take a Lysol wipe to it every day since my kids play with the phone with no troubles. I had minimal trouble with the screen. TAKE TIME TO READ INSTRUCTIONS. Maybe twice.... I thought I knew what I was doing with the screen and messed it up. Luckily, my order can with two screens, so it was onto the second. I did use the messed up one to apply a small piece to the camera lens with no distortion to the camera or video. I applied the second screen with no problem, so I thought. I followed the instructions and let it set overnight, but still had problems with clarity a few days later. I had streaks running vertically down the screen. I emailed customer service and they immediately sent me a replacement. I applied that one, and where it was better, I had a couple of very tiny streaks. I emailed them again for help, not expecting another replacement, but that is what I got. This time, they sent two more. Wow, amazing customer service. OK, I told you that the skin was durable, but what I experienced today was even more crazy. My kids had the phone a little more that usual today and I noticed two "scratches" on the screen. I read somewhere to buff it out and also use heat if necessary. This is exactly what I did and the "scratches" disappeared. I guess they were just impressioned into the screen protector and the material just repaired itself when I applied a little hair dryer heat and buffed with a kleenex. I'm not usually impressed by things like this, its just a phone, but I was wowed. I'm very happy with the whole package. I liked how the naked Droid X felt, but the Carbon Fiber adds a little more security. I don't feel like I have to baby it so much. I would be afraid to drop it, but it sure isn't going to get a scratch on it if I do. I found the fit to be perfect both for the skin and screen protector. Just take your time and read instructions. The only negative thing I have to say is that some have wrote that these don't have any orange peel effect. I've never used anything else, but I would say that there is a little orange peel effect. Maybe it isn't as pronounced as other brands. Lastly, I love the way the screen feels. My fingers, and more important, my daughters fingers glide more with the screen protector than without it. The feel of the whole package is worth it!!

Seidio SURFACE Case for Motorola Droid X/Droid X 2 (Rose Pink) Review

Seidio SURFACE Case for Motorola Droid X/Droid X 2 (Rose Pink)
Average Reviews:

The case looks like the picture described. Snaps together OK, the fit is good but does not inspire confidence when it comes to phone protection. The surface is smooth and their is no padding on the inside - this is just a thin poly case. I told my wife to get an otterbox, but she wanted something pink and got this instead. If you have any experience with the ifrogz cases I would say that this is a notch below in the quality of the construction and plastics (IME ifrogz cases last 6 months to a year - I have had two of those). So if you can squeak a year out of this case you should be proud of yourself. I just can't see it lasting more than a drop or two. Regardless of my practical concerns, my wife still thinks it's cute.

Trident Case KKN-DX-BG KRAKEN Case for DROID X, Ballistic Green 1 pk-Case-Retail Packaging-Green Review

Trident Case KKN-DX-BG KRAKEN Case for DROID X, Ballistic Green 1 pk-Case-Retail Packaging-Green
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I typically do not use "cases" to protect my gadgets. In the past I have used basic screen protectors for my smartphones/PDAs, or applied items such as the ZAGG shield.
I have been using a ZAGG shield and cheap stretchy rubber protector for my Droid X for the past 6 months. With a job coming up that will likely see my phone put into many potentially damaging situations, I decided to pick up the Kraken case. I saw a friend's Otterbox on her iPhone and was intrigued. This led me to the Trident Kraken.
After peeling off my ZAGG shield (including the screen protector portion), I inserted the Droid X into the case. I will admit that it took me a few minutes to figure out how to open the case. One quick Google search and Youtube video later got me there. It turns out that the black part is stretchy silicone that must be peeled away before the harder plastic (in my case, green) parts can be separated.
Contrary to what I saw on a Youtube review, I am pleased to say that the case fits the Droid X even with the extended battery installed. I quit using the stock/included battery as soon as the extended battery was released, and I very much needed this case to be compatible with the longer life power source.
PROS:
The biggest pro to this case is that the buttons on the Droid X are ten times easier to activate. The Droid X has a notoriously difficult to use camera button. Once in the case, it feels as if you completely replaced the buttons with easy-to-press rubber alternatives.
I think I could throw my phone at a brick wall and not see any damage! The case is excellent for protection.
Unlike products such as the ZAGG shield (though I do love ZAGG products!), this case also protects the earpiece from random dirt/particles as it includes a screen over that portion of the hardware.
CONS:
The hardware buttons along the bottom of the screen do not light up, as you are now pressing the silicone extensions on the case. This only took me about 5 minutes to become accustomed to. You will quickly realize that you don't even need to look at the buttons in order to hit the right one, as you have likely used them enough already that the locations are memorized.
If you use the camera flash it will not function properly. The case is thick. As such, the camera flash is now recessed into the case which seems to cause severe reflection that results in unacceptable results when taking photos with the flash. I rarely/never use the flash, so this is not an issue for me. However, if you are someone who takes a large number of flash photos with your Droid X, I would recommend finding a different case or using a Dremel tool to make a quick modification to the cutout around the flash.
The built in screen protector is, well, built in. This means that if you scratch the screen protector to the point of needing to replace it you will have to find a way to remove the existing installed protector (as well as a source for purchasing a new one). The only other alternative is to buy an entirely new case. I don't see this happening, but it is something to be aware of since other brands apparently require you to install the protector yourself while providing replacement protectors should you need to replace only that portion of the case.
BOTTOM LINE:
I bought this case on a bit of an impulse and am very glad that I did. I was hesitant to rip off my $30 ZAGG shield and add bulk to my phone, but it is actually easier to grip now and I feel that it will last for (and even extend) the life of the phone. I'll end up replacing my Droid X with the latest and greatest (Droid XX??) before this case allows it to be damaged.

BoxWave Designio Leather Samsung Vibrant Case (Vertical Flip Cover) Review

BoxWave Designio Leather Samsung Vibrant Case (Vertical Flip Cover)
Average Reviews:

I kept this case because I like the protection that the leather provides to the Vibrant. All phones will eventually hit the pavement, this case should allow the phone to survive a fall. But I do have some complaints about the case.
#1. There is no hole for the USB port. So you have to open the case to recharge the phone.
#2. The pin for the belt clip attaches to the center of the case. This makes the phone spin on an axis while it is attached to the belt clip.
#3. The plastic belt clip broke after 4 days of use. I now carry the phone in my pocket.

SGP MOTOROLA Droid X / Droid X2 Screen Protector Steinheil Series Review

SGP MOTOROLA Droid X / Droid X2 Screen Protector Steinheil Series
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I first got my Droid X, I knew I had to protect the screen because I'd heard so many horror stories from iPhone and other touch screen cell phone owners regarding what happens when you don't. So, being somewhat frugal, I purchased the $5 version protector. Putting it on wasn't too hard, but it had a couple of bubbles and really didn't seem to be thick enough to protect anything. When I heard about the [name brand] protector that you could have professionally applied at your local electronics store, I figured it might be more protective. After all, it could resist scratches from car keys and a rotary tool, or so they claimed. Yeah, it might, but the orange peel roughness of the cover along with the micro air bubbles that you get (applied wet) make it look like you did a poor installation when you didn't. Finally, I got smart. Checked the forums to see what others are using. The Steinheil Ultra Crystal seemed to be the protector of choice. Now I see why. When I got it, I watched the installation video available and noticed that they put the protector on from side to side, rather than top to bottom, of the screen. Amazing! Not even the tiniest of bubbles and as clear as the original screen. As for protection, you know the minute you take it out of the package, this one will protect your investment with it's thick and hard shell consistency. Price? Well, I got mine from the company directly (SGP) which you can do from this page and feel that $14 is very reasonable. I only wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on other "protectors" before finding this one. That is why I am writing this review so you won't have to do the same thing. These are the BEST screen protectors and your Droid will thank you.

Amzer Limited Edition Elite Leather Snap On Hard Case for Motorola Droid X MB810 - Black Review

Amzer Limited Edition Elite Leather Snap On Hard Case for Motorola Droid X MB810 - Black
Average Reviews:

The "leather" coating feels like nothing more than hard plastic. And, the kickstand is a bear to get out (I have to use an ink pen or something similar to pop it out -- it's so difficult to do that you're liable to break a nail). Having said all that, it's a solid, hard plastic case with a leather look. Somewhat slippery to hold though. And, once you get the kickstand actually out, it's pretty cool.
Update: Now that I've had the case on my Droid X for a bit, here are a couple more observations: It actually begins to have more of a slight "leather feel" the longer I've used it. The kickstand is worthless when charging, as it is on the same side as the mini USB port, rendering it unusable for that purpose. Looks good on the X, but beginning to wonder now how much I'll actually use the kickstand.

Swiss Leatherware Glacier Case - PDA and Smart Phones - iPhone / Blackberry / HTC / Samsung / LG / Motorola / Nokia Review

Swiss Leatherware Glacier Case - PDA and Smart Phones - iPhone / Blackberry / HTC / Samsung / LG / Motorola / Nokia
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Glacier case by Swiss Leatherware was recommended by many other sites for the Samsung Captivate and other similar size phones but is of middling quality it seems. The pictures make it look a bit more elegant and fancy than it really feels once you get it. It feel like poor quality vinyl and leather and seems to be made with hard cardboard chunks inside. The strap that flips over the top is not soft enough to allow various height phones to be used so unless your phone happens to fit perfectly (my old Blackberry Curve 8310 was almost a perfect fit, my new Samsung Captivate did NOT fit), the strap will not stay closed as the magnet is not quite strong enough to hold it in place.
As I indicated, I bought this holster for my new Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S model for AT&T) but it is just about 3 or 4 millimeters too tall to fit this holster properly. This makes it so the strap will not stay closed over the phone and just kind of flaps around.
Additionally, the case is just barely wide enough to fit either the Captivate or the Curve, either one is a task to get the phone in or out of the holster as it is so tight. I'm sure this would eventually result in dropping the phone at some point on the way in or out of the holster.
It's disappointing because it is a nice *looking* holster for sure, just that the build quality is not quite what it looks like in the pictures and the size is not quite right for the phones I wanted it for.

Seidio CONVERT Combo Motorola Droid X/Droid X 2 (Black) Review

Seidio CONVERT Combo Motorola Droid X/Droid X 2 (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered the Rugged because I work construction and my phones take a beating. But I really only need two things, some sort of protection if/when I drop it and a holster that is easy to get my phone in and out of with some sort of positive feedback that it's locked in place. I picked the Rugged because, well it was rugged, had a camera cover and the holster looked like it would secure the phone but be easy to insert/release the phone.
It is definitely rugged, the case itself is made up of a sandwich of a hard plastic interior case (the Innocase Surface), silicon middle case and then a spider like exterior cover that mostly protects the back and corners. This sandwich like design seems like a reasonable method of dissipating the energy from a fall. I happen to like the bulk created by the case, it makes it easier to hold for me, but be warned that the combined bezel created by the layers is really thick, and I am unable to get to the edges of the screen (I am completely unable to move icons between screens with this cover on). What's really mind boggling is that given the additional bulk from this case, it's not designed to work with the extended battery. (I think the mixed reports of it actually working has to do with the fact that there are two different versions of the Verizon extended battery ~1800mah and ~1930mah but I honestly don't know)
The camera cover is just a flap of the silicon portion of the middle case, it's not a sliding plastic door like I thought the picture shows. This is a big problem in my opinion and one of the reasons that this case will have to be returned. The silicon flap when closed rests against the camera lens window itself. This means that any dirt or abrasive material that gets in there will scratch the camera window, the exact thing I'm trying to avoid.
The holster itself is sturdy, has a ratchet style turning belt clip and definitely holds the entire assembled case firmly. The only problem is that the design of the spring loaded retention is shaped in a way that when putting the phone into the holster on your hip, there is a very likely chance that the clip will hit the screen first, not the bezel. This is the deal breaker for me, I'm not going to subject the screen of the phone to repeated strikes from the case that is supposed to protect it.
If you're the kind of person who is disciplined enough to place the phone in the holster perfectly every time, then this isn't a problem for you. But to be quite honest, I smash my phone into the holster constantly all day long, making sure I have perfect technique is not my primary concern.
Also worth mentioning; as someone else pointed out, the location for the directions is just bizarre. The directions are split into two papers, one sits inside the case where the phone itself goes, if you're careful you can remove it without completely tearing it, then the second piece of paper is actually sandwiched between the inner case and the silicon case (IIRC). Very odd choice of packing directions considering the large blister pack the whole thing comes in.
Normally my reviews are not this negative, I guess I'm frustrated. All I really need is a holster that's as simple as the one for my blackberry. In all it's not a bad case, but it's not the case for me, I'm going to have to keep looking.

I have this innocase in 2 different versions. The white, and the black version. My black one has worked great with no issues at all, except that the last time i needed to really clean the phone, it broke on one side while trying to remove it.
The white one has been horrible. Within a week of carrying i have started to notice little brown sploches coming up on the edges. it looks like the color is just rubing off. I had this one replaced with a new one incase it was just a flaw on that one, and the second WHITE innocase is doing the same thing.
As far as appearence it looks great when you first put it on, but for now i will have to give it a low rateing as im most likely going to end up having to paint the whiteone later own.
NOTE: i had no fadeing issues on the black one.
