OtterBox Commuter Case for Motorola Droid (Black) Review

The BEST case money can buy. Dropped phone a number of times, and case hasn't even popped off like the cheaper cases, no damage to phone and very little on the case. So minor, you have to look pretty hard to find the little dings and dents. I highly recommend this case for everybody, especially if you're rough on phones like me.

As soon as I installed this case on my phone, I liked it better than the Otterbox Defender case that I had been using. The notification bar is easier to access with the Trident case than with the Otterbox. Also, the buttons on the front of the phone are larger and easier to push with the Trident case as opposed to the Otterbox. In addition to the Trident's built-in screen protector, I have the Folsom Transparent Screen Protector installed [...], and the the touchscreen works just fine. This is a nice product, and I'll probably get one for my husband's phone (in another color, of course!).

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Motorola Droid/Milestone (Full Body) Review

There are 16 different pieces to install, and it seriously took me an hour and a half to install this.
I learned a trick a while ago that if you take a hot shower and steam up the bathroom, the water vapor will cause the dust in the room to settle to the ground. I did this, and even so i still managed to get a piece of dust between the glass and the protector. I stupidly tried to fix it and made it worse by attempting to peel the protector up and get the piece of dust out with the tip of a razor blade. I'm trying to get a replacement screen protector from Zagg, since it has been damaged with a piece of metal, but not holding my breath. I'm one of those people with OCD the last reviewer was talking about...
I rated the item a 4 because I really like it, even though it was difficult to install. I like that it makes the phone a little easier to grip, and I think it looks sharp altogether. I keep my phone in my pocket all the time with a bunch of other stuff, and this should be perfect. It will keep it looking new.

This case fit very well over the phone, allowing for easy use of the slider keyboard while staying protected. I have had no problem taking the back portion off to insert into the Media Dock or the Car Dock. It's unfortunate that you have to remove it to use those items, but that's a problem with Motorola, not this item. I really appreciate the rubberized feel which provides alot more protection for the phone than a standard hard plastic case.

I have purchased from this company before for my other phone and have been very happy. I am not crazy about the color or the material but that is my issue. Overall it great for the price and my phone is very secure. It holds it perfectly and you can use every function on the phone.

Seidio SURFACE Case for Motorola Droid (Sapphire Blue) Review

Seidio SURFACE Case for Motorola Droid (Sapphire Blue)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the third shell that I have gotten for my Droid, and it is a keeper!
First, the set up:
When I bought the phone, I got the Body Glove case that the Verizon store had available. It is an excellent shell - it fits well, has great grip, is rugged and provides very good protection for the Droid. My only real problem with it is that it is BULKY. It adds significantly to the size of the Droid both physically and visually. I do notice this bulk in my pocket too. It even made it somewhat difficult to remove from my pocket. I wanted something not so bulky that might still provide some protection for the phone when I drop it.
Next, I bought a cheap shell that is similar to the Seidio. It was OK, but far from perfect. The big improvement was the lack of bulk, but... The back was warped and did not quite snap on completely. The front was OK, but broke after a few weeks of use. There HAS to be a better shell out there.
Now for the Seidio...
I have done quite a bit of research on-line and there is a lot of praise for Seidio. There were some concerns for the Seidio Innocase Surface, as apparently some of the first production run was not quite right. It was reported that the top did not fit as it should. As I understand it, Seidio replaced the defective parts promptly and without any haggling or hesitation. Great customer service and attitude. In spite of the possible fit issues, I decided to try the Seidio Innocase Surface out for myself. Since I have an extreme aversion to paying full price for anything, I shopped around and found a good deal here on Amazon. I paid my money (not cheap, but the best rarely ever is), waited a few days and...
Nice case!! Nicely packaged, easy to remove from packaging (I wish more vendors would package this well) and good looking. Of course, I promptly removed the Body Glove shell from the phone and started to fit the Seidio to it. The first shock (yes, SHOCK) was when I tried the front piece. I looked at it and determined the correct orientation. There is a small notch in the bottom end for the microphone and an indentation at the top for the power/lock button. I placed it over the Droid and it practically installed itself! REALLY... I aligned it on the phone and just barley touched it and it snapped on. That was too easy. I looked closely and it looked to be in place. I pulled at a bit and it did not come off. Yes, the fit was PERFECT and it locked in place with incredible ease. Just to be sure, I removed it and re-installed it. Still just as easy - just lay it in place and it snaps on with very little pressure. No, it does not come off as easily as it goes on. It does not come off unless deliberately removed. The back is a perfect fit too, but does require just a little more pressure to get it sapped on.
This shell is quite slim. Much less bulky than the Body Glove, not much more so than the bare Droid. Nice fit in the hand, nice fit in the pocket. It has a nice soft feel to the surface even though it is plastic, not rubber. The grip is not as good as the rubber surface of the Body Glove, but it is similar to the bare Droid. It looks good, fits PERFECTLY and handles well. My biggest quibble with it is that it is not quite as easy to use the volume buttons. It does not block the volume rocker, but is close enough at the ends to make using the volume rocker feel a bit awkward compared to the other cases I have used that have a little bit more clearance at the ends of the volume rocker switch. I guess that I am just used to pressing on the very ends of the rocker switch. Easy to get used to, and a very minor quibble. This shell does not interfere with any of the other keys, switches or buttons on the phone. There is no binding or rubbing when sliding the keyboard out or in. You could hardly ask for a better design and fit.
Last but not least, after four weeks of use, this shell still looks almost pristine. There are no scratches on the surface, and just a few minor nicks that you can feel and have to look closely to see on the exposed edge of the case at the bottom end of the phone. I find this to be pretty impressive, as my pocket is not exactly the friendliest place to reside - what with all of the other things that get stuffed in there on a regular and irregular basis.
To sum it up: If you want a shell to protect your Droid from daily use and mild abuse, but don't want the bulk of some SERIOUS armor, DO go ahead and pay the money for the Seidio Innocase Surface. The others may be cheaper, but what I tried was not worth it. Just skip right past the other slim look-alikes and me-toos and get the Seidio - you will not be disappointed.

I bought this on Amazon for my Motorola Droid. I reviewed the product here and on the manufacturer website. The manufacturer has this product AND a silicone shell. The silicone shell was out of stock, so I chose to try this.
Pros: The shell is a hard case that would protect the phone should you drop the phone.
Cons: Unfortunately, I have many more. They are all personal preference, but justify my rating. First, the casing was slightly difficult to attach to the sliding screen. Just when I thought I had it on, it would pop off. Granted, it only took an additional 5-10 minutes to get it on right, but I was continually leery that it would pop off again. Second, with the hard shell on, it made it more difficult to use the to row of keys on the slide out keyboard. I don't have long fingernails and typically use the pads of my fingers or the tips to type/text. I found that when I would try and use the top row, my fingers would be displaced and I regularly hit two keys (the one I was aiming for and the one below it) or the key below the one I was aiming for. The extra bulk of the shell pushed my finger away from its target. Third, on my phone, when I attached the shell, the slide action on the phone became much more rigid and felt like it was jammed or scraping somewhere. I can't identify where, though, because I did not see any marks. And finally, after having the shell on for ~3 days, I noticed that in some areas, the black (insert color) coating on the shell was coming off to reveal the white plastic underneath. I keep the phone in my pocket, so the fact that it started to wear so early on was concerning.
I may try and get the silicone case in the next few weeks, but am not pleased with this purchase. I'll post an update if the silicone case if worth it so those who read this review can compare.

Seidio Innocase Surface Case for Motorola Droid (Rose Pink) Review

Seidio Innocase Surface Case for Motorola Droid (Rose Pink)
Average Reviews:

I have had my Droid since Day 1 on launch day and have been looking for the perfect case the entire time. I had the black silicone snap-on case from Verizon and liked it initially but fell out of love for several reasons. I finally stumbled on the Seidio Innocase Surface and it is PERFECT. Forget everything else, this is THE case to own for the Motorola Droid.
PROS:
- Perfect fit (no gaps)
- Easy to install AND to remove
- Provides extra grip around the Droid
- Perfect cutouts
- Durable plastic material w/soft coating
- Does not pick up lint
CONS:
- Availability
The best part of the Seidio Innocase is the perfect fit and solid build. The cutouts for volume, camera, power, microUSB port, headphone jack, mic, camera lens, and speaker are spot on perfect. My old Verizon snap-on cover covered all the buttons so it wasn't easy to always get a good feel for where the buttons were. My old case also covered all but a 3rd of the speaker on the back, which I never could figure out why. The Innocase reveals the entire rear speaker. The plastic snap-on case by Seidio is coated with a soft material so that it almost feels like a rubber case. I had Seidio cases for my old Blackberry Curve as well.
I also like the top part because it's rigid enough that when I swipe the screen from side to side, the sides of the case do not flex. My old VZW case flexed so much that it eventually felt like it was going to fall off. The cutout for the mic is also done very nicely and I hope it improves the audio quality as I had problems sounding muffled with the VZW case. The entire case is also very easy to install and also to remove. I nearly bought the OEM Body Glove case but read a LOT of complaints about how difficult it was to remove and how it added significant bulk.
The Seidio Innocase Surface case for the Motorola Droid is absolute perfection. You can really tell that a lot of thought went into the design. It is also very slim and adds only the tiniest amount of extra bulk. If you wish you could keep your Droid naked, but don't want to risk it, this is your best solution. It's not a mil spec Otterbox case, but who among us really need that level of protection? Go buy this today, in two colors, if you can find it in stock.

Just got the case in the mail. It arrived on time in new conditon. Fits my Droid 2 Global perfectly. Like the rubberized casing. This design is better than any that I've seen in the stores and at a better price. I was a little concerned that there was gonna be a hole or a square cutout on the back center of the case based on the pic, but there isn't anything like that on the case that I recieved.

Before buying this case you should know this, there is nothing rubberized about it. It is a hard plastic snap on case. The edges (which are very visible) are not even painted to match the rest of the case. It is also very thick, making an already large phone huge and no longer able to fit into the car adapter.

Amzer Limited Edition Elite Leather Snap On Hard Case for Motorola Droid X MB810 - Black Review

Amzer Limited Edition Elite Leather Snap On Hard Case for Motorola Droid X MB810 - Black
Average Reviews:

The "leather" coating feels like nothing more than hard plastic. And, the kickstand is a bear to get out (I have to use an ink pen or something similar to pop it out -- it's so difficult to do that you're liable to break a nail). Having said all that, it's a solid, hard plastic case with a leather look. Somewhat slippery to hold though. And, once you get the kickstand actually out, it's pretty cool.
Update: Now that I've had the case on my Droid X for a bit, here are a couple more observations: It actually begins to have more of a slight "leather feel" the longer I've used it. The kickstand is worthless when charging, as it is on the same side as the mini USB port, rendering it unusable for that purpose. Looks good on the X, but beginning to wonder now how much I'll actually use the kickstand.
