I must admit after reading a few of the reviews for this product I was concerned about the quality. I used the platnium series HEC20SB case originally. When the platnium series case cracked after a few drops I searched for alternative.
This case provides the security of the otter box defender case but not as bulky. The case fits securely around my phone with no shifting. The screen protector part of the case appears dirty at times, which is a little anoying, and taking the case apart to clean it is some what of a task. The phone can sit face down without the screen touching the surface. The edges of the screen can be difficult to touch due to the raised edges. The case protects the camers from touching the surface, as well, when laying face up. Getting to the ear phone jack can be a little time consuming at first until you get used to the flaps.
One of the reasons I purchased this product is because it protects the open ports of the phone.
Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and the fast shipping service received from the seller.

I bought 2 of these, one for my wife and I. I would rate it a 5 but there's a problem with the protective screen and camera lens on both that makes our pictures come out with a hue of the case color, in this case yellow, my wife's is blue. The manufacturer knows about the problem, simply remove the protective lens although I would have preffered to keep them intact.. Almost perfect.

Trident Case Electra Series for HTC EVO 4G - Black (Free HandHelditems Sketch Universal Stylus Pen) Review

Trident Case Electra Series for HTC EVO 4G - Black (Free HandHelditems Sketch Universal Stylus Pen)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
recently purchased an evo 4g and needed a case.. but the Otterbox was not for me. on to the review..
pros:
-the screen protector is a part of the case, which means no bothering with sticking one on and hoping no air bubbles persist.the screen is VERY responsive, have yet to notice a difference
-the cameras and microphones and speakers are recessed by the hard shell case, which protects them from getting hurt while putting the phone down, etc.. (the evo's camera sticks out on the back without the case, which is dumb in my opinion)
-the phone's ORIGINAL kickstand works fine with this case, although I don't use it much.
-all ports are covered by removable silicon flaps
-Trident sells other "mySkin" things for like $8, marketed currently for their "Cyclops" series, but after a call to Trident, these milti-colored replacement silicon bands DO work on the Electra as well. for that price, you can have a couple different colors for the silicon band!
cons:
-bulky feel to the phone, but not as bad as the Otterbox. this is expected.. and not much of a con because I like the feel of the phone still.
-the silicone flap that covers the headphone jack is hard to remove (maybe this will change over time, but I don't use headphones much with it)
-lint collects easily on the silicone, just as with other silicone cases.
for those of you confused by the case, there is a two-part hard shell that snaps on surrounding your phone. the extended battery fits in and their provided phone backing replaces the one included with the phone. Then, the silicon "ring" surrounds the edges of the phone, covering the seal between the two hard shell pieces. The ring actually "snaps in" to the plastic hard shell, which is a nice feature (one of my snaps won't fit in, but Trident offered a replacement.. not sure if I will bother)
as for the battery... well I was immediately impressed by the better performance, but have yet to really be able to tell if the improved performance has sustained... I think that, after reading a review on another extended battery, one might have to "guess" when the battery is done charging instead of trusting the phone's meter, because someone remarked that the phone calls 1500 mA 100%, and does not know that the new battery is 2800 mA.
overall, good buy!

Trident Cases Cyclops Series for HTC Evo 4G - Red Review

This sucker will do the job of protecting your EVO phone, but let me tell you, it traps dirt, dust, and grime like you wouldn't believe! Also, when you close it in...be sure its clean as can be and mummified...because its entombed! I actually have inter-changeable batteries because as you well know, the EVO sucks power like an electric leech...so I swap the batteries in and out constantly. I had to rig a special tool to snap open the thing from the volume toggle space because otherwise...this thing is IMPOSSIBLE to open without causing major injury and mental damage! I mean, yes, that would defeat the purpose of being protected in a shell of impenetrable plastic..but WOW, give us a snap, or rig a piece that comes out to help open it why doncha??
Overall, its a great protectorate for your phone, but its very hard to get your phone back out and it really likes to gather dust and grime...but then again, better the case than the phone, right?
Enjoy and ask any questions!
Zach

Trident Case CY-EVO-BK Cyclops Case for HTC EVO 4G, Black 1 pk-Case-Retail Packaging-Black
Average Reviews:

The good:
This case is the best protection you will find for your evo without a doubt. The screen protector is a part of the case which means it will not fall off and it will stay clean as long as you put it on completely clean the very first time. I cannot possibly imagine the evo getting damaged if you drop it, or even toss it from your hands unless it falls screen down on top of a sharp rock.
The bad:
I would only get this if you have fairly baggy jeans. Because it has a rugged-textured rubbery outside (which is awesome for gripping by the way), it is not easy getting it in or out of pockets. I bought another case because it was just too annoying. It is also slightly thicker and longer than the popular Otterbox case which takes up more room in your pocket. Lastly, it seems a little heavier than the Otterbox case as well. Overall you would probably agree this is a bulky case, and it will feel this way even if you do have baggy jeans, although not so hard to get it in and out of baggy pants.
(For info: The Otterbox case comes with a screen protector, but for mine it tends to slide easy out of the case sides which is pretty lame, there are many screenprotectors for sale though that may stick better, which I am looking into. In either case though, I like the Otterbox because it slides in the pocket of my semi-tight jeans.

This case fits the Evo quite well, but for a supposedly OEM product made by HTC themselves - I don't think this is the best case available for the Evo 4G.
I have also used the Splash CRUISER Slim-Fit PolyCarbonate Slider Case for HTC EVO, which in my opinion is a superior case.
However, for the price, this is a decent case, but the fit could have been a bit better.

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for HTC Evo 4G (Screen) Review

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for HTC Evo 4G (Screen)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've purchased invisibleSHIELD products for five different devices (including my HTC EVO 4G) over the last few years, and I've always been completely satisfied. That's why I was surprised to discover nearly as many one-star reviews for this product on Amazon.com as five-star reviews.
I realize that the invisibleSHIELD isn't a perfect screen-protection solution, but I feel that many of the complaints detailed in these one-star reviews aren't entirely fair. So, for those who are wary about purchasing the invisibleSHIELD on the basis of the negative product reviews posted here, I'd like to respond to some of the most common criticisms:
"It's too hard to install."
True, installation is a bit tricky, and I'd urge anyone who's never installed an invisibleSHIELD film to watch one of the installation videos at Zagg's website before attempting it. But, if you know what to expect and prepare accordingly, installation is actually fairly easy. In addition to Zagg's installation pointers, I'd offer the following suggestions:
- Choose a clean, well-lit environment for installation.
- Close windows, turn off ceiling fans, air conditioners, forced-air heating systems, etc., at least ten minutes before installation to allow dust in the air to settle. Likewise, to keep the air free of dust particles, don't use a compressed-air duster to clean your device at the time of installation.
- Just prior to installation, dip your fingers in white vinegar (then wipe them dry with a clean microfiber cloth) to cut skin oil and prevent fingerprints from forming on the adhesive side of the film. (Do this before moistening your fingers with the application solution, as Zagg recommends.)
- Be sure that the device is completely free of any visible debris or skin-oil residue before installation. Polish it thoroughly with a clean microfiber cloth and distilled water or a commercial LCD cleaning solution.
- During installation, apply enough of the application solution to the film so that, if the alignment isn't immediately correct, you can "slide" it into position without having to remove and reapply it. (NOTE: I tend to use quite a bit of the solution during installation, and, to my mind, that's the key to a successful installation. I know some people object to this approach on the theory that, the more solution you use, the greater the risk of solution seeping into and damaging your device. I try to safeguard against this, first, by squeegeeing out excess solution away from openings, ports, and buttons, second, by soaking up excess solution with an absorbent cloth as I squeegee, and, third, by keeping the device powered off for a full twenty-four hours after installation to allow any solution inside the device to dry.)
"It looks terrible."
A sloppy installation job will produce ugly results. The best way to achieve a clean look is to study the installation process ahead of time and follow the installation instructions exactly. That said, even after a successful installation, you're still likely to notice numerous microbubbles and other imperfections in the invisibleSHIELD film. If you do, stay calm, and resist the impulse to remove and reapply the film -- chances are good you'll only make things worse by doing so. As long as you're satisfied with the alignment and can detect no creases, buckling, or large bubbles in the film, leave it alone. Virtually all of the remaining imperfections really will vanish over time. Zagg advises that you should allow two to three days for the imperfections to disappear, but my experience is that the most disappear within a matter of hours.
Note that, after installation, you may observe a subtle texture in the surface of the film under certain lighting conditions. This isn't a flaw; it's a function of the invisibleSHIELD's so-called "Nano-Memory technology," which gives the film its strength, durability, and self-healing capacity. It's not noticeable during normal use of the device.
"It doesn't stay on."
In order to prevent the invisibleSHIELD film from peeling off your device at the sides or corners, it's important that you allow it to "cure" completely following installation. Set it aside, and leave it alone for a full twenty-four hours. (I realize this is easier said than done, especially if you're just dying to play with your shiny new toy.) As long as you've installed the film flush against the surface of the device (taking care that the sides or corners don't "hang" over the edges), it should, once cured, stick securely to the device until you decide to remove it.
Note, however, that even a completely cured film can work loose if you carry your device in a tight-fitting case. Zagg actually warns of this and notes that the invisibleSHIELD is designed to protect your device in lieu of a case, not in addition to a case. If you insist on additional protection, choose a skin or pouch that doesn't grip the invisibleSHIELD-protected surfaces of device too tightly.
"It's too sticky. My finger doesn't glide across it."
This appears to be a common complaint, and you'll probably notice a difference between the feel of the invisibleSHIELD film and the feel of the glass touchscreen it's protecting. But, I've never found the film to be so tacky, sticky, or rubbery that it compromises the HTC EVO 4G's touchscreen in any way. I've noticed absolutely no reduction in touchscreen sensitivity, and the film surface is smooth enough that I can input text using the Swype keyboard without issue.
"It gets dirty too easily, and it's hard to clean."
I haven't found that the invisibleSHIELD film attracts dirt, fingerprints, or smudges any more readily than the glass touchscreen underneath, but I do think it retains them a bit more stubbornly. For me, this is a small price to pay for the peace of mind I get knowing my device is protected. Even though your device won't come clean on the fly by wiping it on your shirt sleeve, a quick polish with a microfiber cloth and distilled water or a commercial LCD cleaning solution will do the trick.
It's important to remember that any screen-protection solution will alter the feel and appearance of your device to some degree, so don't expect the invisibleSHIELD to be truly "invisible." But, if you're looking for a screen protector that's easy to install, provides reliable protection, and is minimally obtrusive both visually and tangibly, it's hard to do much better than the invisibleSHIELD.

Naztech Rubberized Springtop Swivel Holster for HTC EVO 4G and HD2 Review

Naztech Rubberized Springtop Swivel Holster for HTC EVO 4G and HD2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've owned hard and soft cover cases for Blackberries for almost 10 years. Just switched over to the EVO 4G and opted for this case after comparing options on Amazon. I couldn't understand the logic in the holsters that put the touch screen outwards (exposed). That made no sense to me to have the most sensitive area exposed when not in use.
This case is made by Naztech and appears to be well made. It's very thin. the clip on the top seems very strong and in fact almost too strong the first couple of times I used it. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to simply push the phone in and cause the clip to lift and drop in place. After the 3rd day it seems like I can do this without putting too much pressure against the clip.
I am worried that with time the plastic clip surface may put wear marks on the top edge of my EVO where it slides before dropping down in place. For that reason I have been placing slight pressure on the clip with my finger so that it isn't just the phone that is forcing the clip up over the edge and back down to hold it in place. I'll update this review in a month or two after I see what the effect is.
Other than that potential downfall I think the holster is great. There is felt on the inside and the outside feels like a refined plastic. The description says "Soft-touch 'rubberized' texture provides a distinct feel and extra grip" but I wouldn't call it a 'rubberized' feel. It's more like a plastic that isn't as slippery to the touch. I didn't want a 'rubberized' feel but I'm very happy with this finish. It's just a plastic with a kind of light "felt" feel.
The case trim is recessed so that it doesn't cover the audio, power button, mic, hdmi, front camera, or usb power plug. I've found that it's pretty natural to disengage the clip by putting my forefinger under the clip and thumb against the top edge of the phone and simple squeeze while lifting the clip up slightly. The bottom of the phone pivots on the bottom of the case and then I can slide my hand down to the phone to secure it. I do get a little nervous that I don't have a solid grip on the phone until after its out of the clip however.
I'm giving this 4 stars only because it's a little awkward to release the phone and the metal spring in the clip seems a bit aggressively strong. I would have given it probably 4 1/2 stars if possible.

Seidio SURFACE Case for HTC EVO 4G (Black) Review

Seidio SURFACE Case for HTC EVO 4G (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this case almost right away after buying my Evo. I debated on the quality of the case because it is actually two pieces, cut across horizontally. However, when you put the case together, the build is very solid, and fits the phone very tightly. The case feels very like a very hard rubber (or maybe a soft plastic) - not too slick like plastic and not to "rubber sticky". Also, there is a soft velvety material inside so that the case does not scratch up the phone if you have to remove it to get at the SD card - enhancing the snug fit. The best feature of the case has to do with the camera. The back camera on the Evo sticks out and will surely get scratched up over time, but the camera does not stick out beyond the case, so you can feel at ease setting the phone down on its back.
My only dislikes deals with the kickstand and power button. The phone will wobble when sitting on the kickstand. This is frustrating for two reasons. One, it shifts the phone's COG such that if you were to press the screen, the phone would likely tip over. The second part is that the phone will wobble if it is on any surface with vibrations running through it (like in the car). The power button is almost perfectly flush with the top of the phone, and the case can makes it tougher to make you "feel" like your finger's on the button or if you're pressing the back edge of the phone, but it's really a very very minor complaint.
Overall, this is an excellent case that fits very solidly, protects the camera and looks stylish.**UPDATE**
I have now had this case for a few weeks and am updating my review. The case has held up well and, looking at my phone, doesn't have a scratch on it; my phone was flung out of my hands once and the case did its job without a scratch.
It's the fit of the phone I now have a problem with. I originally questioned the structural integrity, being a two piece case. Initially the fit was tight, but after just a few weeks, the case creaks all over. It is especially noticeable in the top half piece. The top two corners of the phone, every area where a cut-out hole is and the the area where the two pieces of the case meet are all very loose, causing a creaking of the case. The bottom half of the case has maintained most of its tight fit, with a creak in the corners being very obvious. I wish it were a one-piece.

You get what you pay for I guess. the case is durable, and fits snugly, but the right side of the case squeaks like crazy. the right side bulges slightly out from the unit and when ever you hold the phone is squeaks terribly. I've had people ask what is squeaking during phone calls. Live and learn, there were no reviews...I should not have bought this case. I made a video and added it here so you can hear the squeaking.
My son go the seidio innocase II 3 days ago and it costs $20 instead of $10 for this amzer case, but fits perfectly and makes no noise. Reviews for the seidio ii, however, say it squeaks after a couple weeks as well. I'll wait a month and if my son's case doesn't squeak, I'll buy one of those and throw this one away. Be warned!! Hope this review saves someone the annoyance of ordering an inferior product.

I always want to protect my phone, and this case does just that.
Pro:
If covers majority of the phone
the back is a hard material (probably cardboard)
Comes with a clip for your belt (which I have no used)
COns:
It makes the keyboard much smaller, have to get use to the leather being close to the side of the keyboard.
bit of a hassle plugging the phone in.
The price.
The notification bar is kinda hard to drag down.
If you don't mind the cons and want to protect your phone, then I would suggest buying this.EDIT::: Dec 22, 2010
Well it has been over a little of three months since I had the case and I am now just noticing wear and tear. The side on the front right have been detached and now I can see the cardboard. The flap that "keeps it in place" is now tearing (just the sides). The front left side is tearing off and that is all I notice.

This rugged case ended up being more then I expected. The screen protector went on without any problems and the whole set up was much lighter then I expected. It fits very well in my hands and I'm not worried about dropping my phone anymore. It would have to be a direct hit against the screen of the phone on a hard corner somewhere for any damage to happen. I highly recommend this case with the 3500 battery for anyone who uses his or her phone a lot.

not bad case overall. white is not a good color because over time it looks bad because it turns brown around the edges most touched and it cannot be cleaned easily. Black rubber around edges are nice but it sucks when it comes to the head phone jack port and the charging port. I've only had the case for less than two months and i'm already looking for a new case because it tore at charge port. Opening the head phone jack is a pain. Once the rubber tears you lose the shock observer part of the case. Other than those aspects of the case it is really nice. No need to buy a screen protector! the case built in cover works wonders and its a great case because it covers the light and camera on the back!!! Overall, the case is awesome just be very careful with the charging port because the flap tears easily.
