For MIRROR iPHONE / UNIVERSAL SCREEN PROTECTOR LCD Film COVER Review

This is a cool way to protect your iPhone. The two main problems I found are: First, if you don't install it correctly the very first time and get bubbles in the screen, they never go away due to the thick material stretching.
Second, the mirrored cover makes the screen difficult to see in bright daylight negating one of the iPhone's big pluses: the very easy to see screen.
It's too bad because it's a unique and cool looking cover.

Skinomi TechSkin - Screen Protector Shield for T-Mobile HTC G2 Review

Skinomi TechSkin - Screen Protector Shield for T-Mobile HTC G2
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The protector applies nicely if the instructions are followed. When I first peeled mine off of the backing, it had striations that looked like the adhesive had not been applied uniformly. However, these disappeared along with other streaks in a little over 24 hours. I did have one spot that seems to have a trapped particle that was not apparent before the setup dried, but unless the screen is dark (off) it is not noticable.
I applied this to my G2 that also has a case protector and there were no interference issues. The case overlaps the edge of the phone and should hopefully protect the edges of this screen shield from getting peeled up when placed in my pocket over time.
My only gripe, as others have noted, is the "lifetime warranty". The customer pays shipping both ways, and also a "restocking fee" if I correctly understand the terms on web site. I can understand the company desiring you to return your old protector to minimize fraud, but why on earth would a used screen protector get "restocked"???
By the time you have paid shipping and fees - you can just buy another on here for $10.
This is a good product, I wish the manufacturer would clean up their marketing ethics (is that an oxymoron?) because in my opinion it would improve their overall reputation. Then again, maybe I'm not their target demographic.

I have had this film on my iPhone for over a year and haven't had to replace it yet!! It doesn't peel on the corners like other adhesive screens and is so easy to apply. I love it and am so happy that I bought this product over the others available. Loves it!!

Crystal Scratch Resistant Screen Guard Protector LCD Shield With Lint Cleaning Cloth for Apple Iphone PDA Manufactured By Ikross Review

The reviewers complaining here about the 'stickers' might not realize that this comes as one protector with 3 pieces of film, you remove back film to expose the adhesive by grabbing the sticker and peeling back, you position the film on the iphone (mine fit perfectly) then you rub with the plastic tab they give you to remove the bubbles, and yes, they do all come out. Finally you remove the 3rd sheet of film from the outside by grabbing its tab and peeling it off, this way you don't risk scratching the protector while rubbing down the bubbles.
The skin actually seems to trap less oil and smudges than the original screen BUT it is much shinier. Don't know if that will lessen over time, and is a minor annoyance, but well worth it. Seems very durable, I've tossed it in pockets with keys, coins etc and no scratches. Well worth the money.

Mirror Like Screen Protector Shield for Apple iPhone 3G Review

Its very good, and it's actually turns the front of your iPhone into a mirror. and if you apply it right you might get it to match the steel-like rim of your iPhone face, making it as a complete piece of reflection.
However, you will have to increase the screen brightness during the day, because it will be hard to see through especially if there is direct sunlight.
As a result, you will notice your battery life shrinks due to the brightness adjustment.

NEW LCD Screen Protector Shield Guard for Apple Iphone 3g Review

NEW LCD Screen Protector Shield Guard for Apple Iphone 3g

I purchased two of these screens from the seller. One was more expensive and supposedly "high quality." When I received both screens, they were identical in the packaging and quality. It's worth the money, just make sure you purchase the cheapest option from this seller. It does work just like a mirror and protects my iphone well. I would purchase it again.
The seller did refund some of my money so I paid the cheapest price for both screens.

Case-Mate Screen Protector Film 3 Pack for iPhone 3G, 3GS Review

Case-Mate Screen Protector Film 3 Pack for iPhone 3G, 3GS
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have the iPhone 3G, and I purchased a package of clear protectors with the phone. The salesperson claimed to be an expert at applying these little protectors. She first washed her hands with antibacterial goo (probably to avoid the errant fingerprint), then rubbed my phone down with the enclosed microfiber square, and finally carefully applied the protector. The final result? A cover that was slightly off center and still managed to have a speck or two of something under it (they say dust is primarily made of sloughed-off skin cells--gross, no?) which created bubbles that you'll be spending 2-3 months (if you're lucky) ignoring until it's time to replace the film. How do you know when it's time to replace? Well, dirt or whatever manages to get under an edge. You keep smoothing that edge down, but slowly it works its way farther and farther into the main viewing area of the screen til the day comes that you must brave replacing the cover yourself. That day was today.
I determined to go about this like a laboratory scientist. I washed my hands to reduce oily prints. I then carefully removed the hard case, cleaning off crumbs and such as I went. I buffed my iPhone, inspecting it carefully to ensure not a speck of anything remained (and here, I must stop and say the first protector did an excellent job--no scratches, no sign that it had been there, unlike some protectors that actually wind up SCRATCHING your screen). Finally I laid out a blank of white paper after giving it a nice whoosh of breath to ensure there were no particles of sloughed-off human on it. Then the moment of truth--I followed the instructions carefully, pulling off the tab, being careful not to touch the sticky side. I started to apply the film. But what was this? My eye spotted a piece of lint approximately 5-6 mm long, something that, if left ignored, would soon become the iPhone equivalent of a pubic hair surrounded by a bubble. Determined to salvage this cover, I retrieved the needle-point tweezers and attempted to pluck said lint from cover. The result was further mashing the lint into the cover, getting very determined, and finally ending up with appearance of a serious pubic-hair-from-very-hirsute-human-with-scratch-encased-in-bubble. I gave up, thinking all was lost, and that I must return to the AT&T store for more protectors.
But alas! The case contained not 2 but 3 covers! The idea, I believe, is that the customer is going to destroy at least 2 in the process. Only on number 3 will he/she get it right (and who are we kidding--by then "right" is anything short of a giant fingerprint or eyelash on the screen) and not feel like their money has been completely wasted.
So on my second try, I once again went through the steps, being more careful to hold the protector sticky side DOWN; that way any floating pieces of lint (or sloughed-off human flesh) would hopefully be less likely to land on the surface. The result? An off center screen with a top portion that nearly half-covered the hearing piece. This would not do! I carefully peeled off the cover, replaced it, and by this time was happy that there were only 1 or 2 small specks of whatnot surrounded by bubbles. I'm hoping this lasts at least 3 months before I have to go through this again.
My advice: Good product. Buy it, but expect to get 1/3 not 3/3. And watch the movie Gattaca first. Mimic Ethan Hawke's shower scrub-down before attempting application of the screen protector. And then don't breathe through the process. The protector will be tolerable, but don't expect perfection. Even Ethan lost an eyebrow or something that blew his cover. It happens.

SGP Steinheil EX iPhone 4 Screen & Body Protector Set Review

SGP Steinheil EX iPhone 4 Screen and Body Protector Set
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had this screen/body protector on my iPhone 4 for about a week now, and I'm pretty pleased with it. You get 2 full sets in the box, which makes the price a good value. The front and rear protectors were fairly easy to apply, but like all screen protectors, the procedure is hugely sensitive to dust in the air, so I suggest doing what most others did, and apply it in a bathroom that's had the hot water running for a high humidity percentage- that will help with the dust exponentially. I did it in a dry electronics clean-room so I didn't have to worry about dust or other particles. The kit includes dust "stickers", which will help you remove dust particles from the film after it's applied- they seem to work very well and it's a nice inclusion with the product. The kit also includes alcohol pads for cleaning your fingers, however, if you have rough/calloused hands like me, it's important to make sure no fibers from the alcohol pad stick to your fingers prior to handling the film. I used a can of high-pressure air to ensure my fingers, and the phone were dust/lint free before I began to apply the film.
It seems like both the front and back protectors were die-cut from the top side, which, if I'm correct, leaves a slightly proud edge, which has caused my set to not seat properly around the edges of the film, and the cutouts. The front film is not as effected as the rear film, but I found that detail a little disappointing. I was able to work the edges with the included squeegee, and managed to get all edges fairly well stuck, so it's not really a big deal, just took a little additional time to make it right. I'm not sure if this is typical of all SGP films, but it was certainly the case with my set. The films are cut very accurately, and I didn't have any issue aligning the front or rear. There is one wide cutout for the front ear piece that extends all the way over to the front facing camera (FFC). I would have liked to see an individual cutout for the FFC for a slightly cleaner look, but again, no big deal. The rear film does not obscure the camera lens or flash, so there is no degradation of quality with the camera or the LED flash. The films are VERY clear, however, it's still plastic, so there is the tiniest amount of orange peel if you hold the film at a specific angle to the light (and have VERY good eye sight)- this is really nit-picking of me, because the film really is exceptionally clear. However, to expect it to have identical clarity as a piece of optical glass is an unreasonable expectation. The film is very smooth to the touch, not tacky, but if you happen to have sweaty hands, and/or live in a highly humid environment, I can see how there might be a little additional tack (I live in colorado with an average relative humidity below 20%). Again, this is still a piece of plastic, so to expect it to feel like glass is unreasonable. It's very close to what the glass feels like, but still not the same. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the clarity, and tactile function of the front and rear films. No noticeable loss of clarity with the 'retina' display, and no loss to the sensitivity of the touch screen. I've also found that the ultra crystal does not show finger prints quite as badly as the naked glass, although, it still does show them fairly easily. I have pretty dry skin and live in a dry environment, so the finger prints are really a non-issue for me. I was going for maximum clarity, and this product has provided me with that. The one disappointing thing I've noticed is that the film does scratch- not major scratches, more like hairline scratches, similar to what you'd see on a cars painted surfaces- very, very fine scratches, that doesn't effect clarity when the screen is on. I'd much rather have the film get scratched than the glass itself, which is why I bought this set.
I chose to get the full body protection, which means there are several slightly thicker pieces which are to be applied to the stainless steel sides. These are also cut very accurately, however, I feel they could have been done with a bit more precision. The material is different than the front and rear films in that it's both thicker, and it's much more flexible. The flexibility allows you to stretch the pieces, which makes it slightly more difficult to align properly, but if you take your time, one can apply them with excellent accuracy. The edge protectors allow cutouts for both speakers on the bottom, charging port, and a cutout for the SIM tray. There are 3 separate pieces which go around the silent switch, and volume buttons and they're not as accurately cut as the rest of the set, but it would be hugely difficult to produce something perfect for that side of the phone, so I understand why they did what they did.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase. Reasonable price for what you get, excellent clarity, excellent tactility, and easy to apply. I've not tried some of the other products like the ZAGG, or similar products, so I can't chime in as to how this product compares. I can only say that I'd recommend it and I'll be turning to Steinheil in the future for my device-protection needs.

It is a nice looking screen protector, but beware : our iPhone 3GS did not respond to any touch at all after applying this protector. We had no way of using the touch screen with this. Perhaps Apple has changed the touch technology or something but 3GS owners do not buy this protector, it is useless to you. Wasted $10.
