(More customer reviews)I didn't have a lot of faith that this would work, and in the least I figured I'd get stuck halfway and have to ask my husband to finish it for me.
But it did work, and I did the whole thing myself! The videos on YouTube were very helpful. The only step that was NOT as it appeared was the removal of the glass from the frame. Since my screen was mostly shattered around the button and sides, it was not easy to remove in one piece. I wound up with shards, but with repeated application of heat and patience with the screwdriver, I was able to get all the pieces and adhesive out of the frame. That step took me a solid 40 minutes, and overall, I only spent about an hour and a half with this replacement. There were a couple of steps where I was convinced I was going to ruin my phone - and I probably could have easily done it, but the video was pretty good at mentioning the risks and things to be extra-careful about.
I'm very happy to have a shiny and complete screen again. I would recommend this for anyone with patience who is looking for an inexpensive fix. I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn't have good eyesight (these pieces are small!) or good handiwork.
So... not quite as easy as the video makes it seem, and definitely not without risks, but it works, and I have a brand new iPhone screen for a fraction of what it would cost to send it off.

(More customer reviews)After reading other reviews about less expensive LCD screens I decided to pay a little more and get this one from Zeetron that is made by Apple. I'm glad I did. The screen looks as good as it did when it was new. The installation was much easier than I thought it would be. I followed the video instructions found on you tube and this company: [...]. I went very slow and took my time. I bought a screwdriver from Radio Shack because the one that it came with seemed a bit too big. I wasn't sure of the quality of the screwdriver and I didn't want to risk stripping the screws. I only used the Radio Shack screwdriver to get the screws loose and then used the screwdriver that it came with to finish the job. I did this because the Radio Shack screwdriver was not magnetic and the screwdriver from Zeetron was. Because the screws are so small, it would be nearly impossible to put the thing back together without a magnetized screwdriver. I laid out a larger sheet of white paper on which to work in order to not loose any of the tiny screws. I used the suction cup to get the glass out. You need to be very careful when removing the glass when using the suction cup because if you are pulling on it and then the glass suddenly releases, you can rip the cables out and possibly do damage. What I did was hold the iPhone inverted with my left hand gripping it such that my left thumb was pushing in on the glass where the earpiece is. I gave the glass near the earpiece additional support with the palm of my right hand and then used my right thumb and index finger to grip the suction cup which was attached near the home button. Now all I had to do was pivot my wrist back towards me and away from the face of the phone. The palm of my right hand acted like a pivot point or fulcrum which also prevented the glass from popping off too quickly. So it opened up kind of like a book. Just imagine the earpiece being where the book binding would be. I am very happy with this product. I can fully use my phone again, and don't have to sign another 2 year contract to get a phone.

NEW LCD Screen Protector Shield Guard for Apple Iphone 3g Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these screens from the seller. One was more expensive and supposedly "high quality." When I received both screens, they were identical in the packaging and quality. It's worth the money, just make sure you purchase the cheapest option from this seller. It does work just like a mirror and protects my iphone well. I would purchase it again.
The seller did refund some of my money so I paid the cheapest price for both screens.
