(More customer reviews)Got this phone when my 3 year old samsung phone's call button stopped working. This phone was a freebie give away when I resigned a 2 year t-mobile contract thru a cel phone store. More details on that later.
The phone comes with necessary accessories. computer cable, ear phone, etc. Now the phone itself feel and looks very cool. And since it was free, I have nothing to complain about. After using it for a few days, there's some really cool functions / software on there.
1. It's got touch screen games.
2. Has some MS Office applications on there.
3. Good camera, even has flash.
4. Tilt sensors are there as well, so it functions like an iphone, but comes unlocked so you can go with any carrier.
5. Still has buttons for those of us that does not like touch screen, so you can still dial the phone #s really quick.
The bad:
I don't like touch screen for normal daily use because it's slow to react. The UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT buttons on this phone is touch screen, so to access contact page, it is a bit slow. That's really my only complaint against the phone. Other than that, this is very well made phone.
How to keep you phone #, get a big rebate, and still use the same carrier?
I've used most of the major carriers. T-Mobile has the best deal, and the reception for all of them is about the same in the area I live in. So in order to get the bigger cash back bonus, you need to be a new sign-up, renewals gets you very little money back.
So, in order to keep the same phone #, and the same carrier, you need to do a workaround.
#1 - disconnect the phone.
#2 - immediately activate it on another carrier ( cingular ) prepaid phone.
#3 - 2 days later, deactivate Cingular and activate T-Mobile.
Same phone #, same carrier, big cash back. Now, you should not do this yourself as you may mess it up and loose the phone #. Try to find a cel phone store that knows how to do this and let them handle it for you. My cel phone store even gave me $25 prepaid sim chip for those 2 days I was using Cingular.
