ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for HTC Touch Pro 2 (Sprint/US Cellular) (Full Body) Review

After attempting to use the screen shield that came with the device I wanted something that was much more long lasting and more responsive to touch sense movements. I also tried the plastic case which had a rubberized feel and was fairly thin. It unfortunately made the phone a lot more bulk than it already is.
Enter the Zagg invisible SHIELD. Wow, is all I can say. This is not the plastic screen shield stuff you get with the phone or the stuff you buy from Sprint. No, this actually a revolutionary material. It is more of a pliable material and not a really hard plastic.
If you follow the instructions to a T then it will install nicely. Use very clean hands, use the included spray liquid and allow for about forty minutes to install. One thing I want to add is that the screen and back can be slid into place before it cures so don't be afraid to use more liquid and make sure it's perfect before it gets dry. If your hands are clean then you will not have to worry about fingerprints at all.
The case took about two days to completely cure. No bubbles whatsoever are under the skin. It gives the phone a nice grippy feel and the screen touch sense is incredibly sensitive unlike the other plastic shields.
I highly recommend this product for someone who wants protection without the bulk. I will absolutely consider their other products should I need them.

Zagg InvisibleShield Front Shield for Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS (Front) Review

Zagg InvisibleShield Front Shield for Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS (Front)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After owning my new iphone for about 15 minutes I was already appalled at the appearance of fingerprints on the screen and wanted to further protect the screen and case from day to day wear and tear bouncing around in my bag with my keys, wallet etc. This was the only iphone 3g screen protector product available at the store I stopped at, so I decided to give it a try despite the intimidating price.
Long story short: the product works exactly as advertised. I was a little afraid of trying to install this thing after reading some other reviews and learning that there are video demonstrations. Unlike the above reviewer, I DO NOT have steady hands. I have previously installed similar screen protectors on laptop and pda screens with limited success. I usually find it impossible to get all the bubbles out. However, with this product, the supplied spray really does make it easy to get the protector in the right place on the first try and makes it easier to push the bubbles out. Getting the screen protector on the front of the iphone was very simple. The cover for the back of the iphone was more challenging because of the finicky little tabs. At first there were numerous bubbles remaining in the back cover and I could not get the corner tabs to stick. I decided not to worry about it because I had already ordered another case which would cover this up and the device was at least protected if not terribly aesthetically pleasing.
Fast forward about a week and all of the bubbles really did magically push themselves out and the corners eventually stuck in place. I was truly amazed. I have had a similar screen protector on my laptop screen for over a year and it still has some bubbles in it. But whatever the stuff is this cover is made out of, the bubbles really will work themselves out. Additionally, fingerprints are less noticeable on the screen, and I feel that the exterior of my iphone is well protected.
Overall I am terribly pleased with this product. It is a bit more expensive than other screen protectors, but it does the job it is advertised to do and better than other similar products. I think it does diminish the aesthetic appeal of the iphone to some extent because even with all the bubbles gone you can still see the clear seams in the case hence I can only give it four stars. But I feel the slightly diminished appearance is more than worth it for protection of this expensive device.

High Quality Screen Protector Guard for BlackBerry Storm 9500 9530 Review

High Quality Screen Protector Guard for BlackBerry Storm 9500 9530

The screen protector is slightly too large for a Blackberry storm. Worse yet, there are two tabs that are attached to the protector. The first removes a piece of plastic to expose the static surface, and the second says remove after application to the device. That tab would not come off!!! Even after I scrapped at it and tried a damp cloth to release the glue. It left paper stuck to the screen! Spend a few bucks more and get one made for the Storm that doesn't have paper glued to it.

InvisibleSHIELD for the Apple iPhone 3G (Full Body) Review

InvisibleSHIELD for the Apple iPhone 3G (Full Body)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Before you believe the reviews that say the Zagg Invisible Shield is worthless, READ THIS REVIEW.
Before purchasing the Zagg Invisible Shield for my Samsung Impression, I read ~100 reviews on this product. I read about the good, the bad, and the ugly. So I purchased the Zagg with skepticism and moderate expectations. I felt it was worth a try because I wanted to protect my investment, and because I tend to be hard on my electronics (my video iPod looked like it had done a tour in Afghanistan until I used Applesauce, but that's another review). I was willing to live with a less than 100% perfect install if need be, because I would rather have some slight aesthetic imperfections rather than have irrevocable scratches on my device's touch screen.
When I received the kit, it included: the die cut shields for front and back, the squeegee, the Shield Spray (just water with a small amount of surfactant, per the Zagg website), and instructions.
Installation:
1)Before installation, I re-read the instructions, and watched the videos on the Zagg website and some on You Tube as well. If you aren't willing to do this, don't bother. This product is ultimately awesome, but not idiot proof. If you're not willing to do your homework, buy something other than this.
2)I cleaned my device with a lint-free cloth, making sure all fingerprints and smudges were gone, and turned it off.
3)I laid it on a hand towel, then proceeded to wash my hands well.
4)I laid out the die cut pieces and decided to start with the front, because it was one solid piece, rather than 2 pieces like the back. I then punched out the front piece from the template to make it easier to peel off.
5)I sprayed my fingers with the Shield Spray and carefully peeled up a corner. Re-sprayed my fingertips. Then peeled off the whole piece, holding it carefully by one corner, and sprayed the piece front and back.
6) I carefully (CAREFULLY!) laid the piece down on the front, and aligned it as best I could before letting go.
7) I found that if you don't press down, you can reposition the piece by CAREFULLY peeling it up and moving it. DON'T PRESS DOWN UNTIL IT IS PERFECT.
8) I then took the squeegee and, starting in the middle, worked my way to the edges, pressing out the water as I went and using a paper towel to soak it up along the way. I addressed larger bubbles by carefully peeling up and re-squeegeeing. In my experience, smaller bubbles (1/8 in. diameter or less) will be OK, larger than that should be addressed by peeling and re-squeegeeing.
9) Only when the front was down and squeegeed did I press down the sides and corners, using the "palming" method described on the Zagg website.
10) I repeated this entire process for the back.
These next steps are possibly THE MOST IMPORTANT STEPS in the whole process, and I think that this is where people get frustrated, peel the Zagg off the device in disgust, proclaim it an inferior product, and write a bad review.
1) BE PATIENT. Your device WILL look like crap immediately after application. You will have bubbles (small ones, if you are careful, but they will be there). You may also have shadowy-looking areas. The Invisible Shield may not look clear. You WILL be tempted to peel it off in disgust. DON'T.
2) BE PATIENT. Don't turn the device on or use it. LEAVE IT ALONE. I can't stress this enough. Zagg recommends 12-24 hours, and this is for a reason. There is much more water under the shield than you might think. The water needs time to evaporate and the shield needs time to "settle". I turned it on and began light use after 24 hours.
3) BE PATIENT. It might even look worse the next day. Mine did. Don't give in. Don't touch it, lift it, peel it, try to stick bubbles down, etc.
4) BE PATIENT. In the instructions, Zagg says it may take 2-3 days for the water to evaporate and for the Shield to adhere properly. The bubbles WILL settle out and disappear as it cures. Cloudy areas WILL clear. By day three, it looked FANTASTIC. You can only tell on very, very close inspection that there is a shield on the device. And it performs just as advertised. I've been throwing it in my bag for days now, and it looks totally pristine.
In closing, don't bother installing the Zagg unless you are willing to read the instructions, follow them, and be patient. It may take several days to achieve the final result, and if your device isn't worth that amount of time, then just get a case of some sort or resign yourself to the scratches you will inevitably get.
But take the negative reviews with a grain of salt--the Zagg Invisible Shield is worth every penny!

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 (Maximum Coverage) Review

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 4 (Maximum Coverage)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been the biggest fan of Zagg until a few weeks ago. The screen protector I got for my iPhone 3G protected my phone well, came well packaged, with good instructions, etc.
The iPhone 4 cover on the other hand is a totally different animal.
1) the instructions are printed in a 2x2 piece of paper and they are completely generic, probably works with any stick on cover, so essentially no real instructions
2) came in essentially a paper envelope with the "covers" and a separate plastic bag with the "squeegee" and spray. The plastic bag looked like someone had sealed the sides by using a candle, packaging looked worthy of a $3 product, not a $25 one.
3) the "maximum protection" just means that you get a few little strips that you can paste around the phone. The strips are not the right size (all were too narrow and a little shorter than needed): probably a result of designing this product before the iPhone 4 was out
4) "maximum protection" leave still leaves all of the glass edges, the bottom of the phone (completely) and many other parts of the phone unprotected
5) They got stingy with the spray! really, the stuff is barely enough if you don't spray for the side strips and not enough at all otherwise. If you get a wrong application and have to re-apply: well you'll be asking for more spray from Zagg customer support
6) My attempt to correct an address on my Zagg order ended up with one call to some sort of VOIP driven customer service center which was too busy to handle my call and then a sequence of 5+ different emails asking me to send $2.95 more for shipping (this was a result of my error but the customer support mechanism is terrible).
7) The $2.95 above to get a new one sent is probably their actual cost to make this looking at the packaging and the presentation: knowing how well Zagg products were previously packaged (with ample spray stuff etc), this is really disappointing.
8) The spray evaporates in like a second (literally), so getting the things on is pure torture, be prepared to dedicate 30 mins of your life and 100% of your attention and you will still have an imperfect application
So, bottom line, now that I have it on the phone what do I think: well it covers most of the front and back of the phone well so scratches in those areas will probably be protected from, but I still need a cover for the edges since "maximum coverage" did nothing.
Disappointing from a company that I used to be a big fan of.EDIT: and yes, the strips break at each of the antenna "junctions" on the phone and don't fully insulate from the hand touching the antenna, therefore NOT a solution to the iPhone 4 antenna issues.

BodyGuardZ Film for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Transparent) Review

BodyGuardZ Film for iPhone 3G, 3G S (Transparent)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It comes with two BodyGuardz, and I'm glad it did. The first time I put it on, I wasn't in sufficient light, so I couldn't see the outline of the film, and as a result I didn't get it centered exactly as I wanted it. After looking at it for about 5 minutes, I decided to take it off and put the other one on. This time, i moved to a light source where I could clearly see the outline of the film, and was able to center it exactly on the face of the iPhone. When applying, make sure you use plenty of the spray, just try not to get it in the earpiece hole, and camera on the back. (don't spray it directly on the phone, just the film) I let mine dry, and did not power up the iPhone for 24 hours in case water happened to get inside. (I think it recommended 12 hours) It worked perfectly and I actually like the film on the face because it doesn't show as many fingerprints as with the glass. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend Bodyguardz to anyone.

Mirror Like Screen Protector Shield for Blackberry Storm 9530 9500 Cell Phone Review

Mirror Like Screen Protector Shield for Blackberry Storm 9530 9500 Cell Phone
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Whether you should purchase this item depends on what you're looking for.
1. Application: Extremely easy with no bubbles.
2. Screen Protection: Excellent. The protector is more rigid than some of the other flimsy, almost saran wrap like, protectors I have used previously.
3. Aesthetics: A selling point for this protector is its mirror shine surface when the phone's screen shuts off. When I first applied the protector it was truly mirror like. However, after I used the phone for a few days I began to notice that when the screen powers down, the mirror surface was now covered with a montage of my fingerprints, giving the phone a filthy look.
4. Visibility: The protector, probably due to its properties that produces the mirror like surface, creates a distracting bluish green color when not viewed straight on. The slightest tilt, up or down, left of right, causes the problem. This can be annoying, since the Storm has such a great screen resolution.
5. Cost: Inexpensive.

Bodyguardz iPod Touch 2G/3G Screen and Back Protectors 2PK Review

Bodyguardz iPod Touch 2G/3G Screen and Back Protectors 2PK
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought my iPod Touch 2g used, and it had a BodyGuardz shield preinstalled on the back. I installed a ZAGG invisibleShield on the front, and it only lasted a short time before it became damaged. I decided to use BodyGuardz on the front this time, and I'm really glad I did. It looks nicer, as there is barely a hint of orange-peel effect (which is pronounced with the invisibleShield). By sight and touch, you're hard-pressed to tell you have a screen protector on at all. I don't think BodyGuardz claims to have the "self-healing" properties of the invisibleShield, but twice I've noticed light scratches or marks that were gone later. Since I only installed the front myself, I can only speak in terms of that, but I found it easy to apply. At first there was a somewhat cloudy appearance and a few remaining bubbles, but just as the instructions say, they were gone the next day. I think following the directions is key, as well as patience. Find a clean, dust-free area to work in, when you can take your time and not be interrupted. I think you'll be happy with the results.

BodyGuardZ Full-Body Protection Film for iPhone 4 (2 Pack) Review

BodyGuardZ Full-Body Protection Film for iPhone 4 (2 Pack)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I had an iPhone 3G for two years before upgrading to the iPhone 4 a couple of weeks ago. I had the 3G wrapped in Bodyguardz's full body protector the whole time and it rocked. It added grip to the back without making it too grippy on the screen, protected from scratches, and it wasn't a bulky case.
Once I got my iPhone 4, I wanted to give my 3G to my little sister to use as an iPod touch. This is where the best feature of the Bodyguardz protector showed itself. Before I gave it to her, I removed the protectors from the front and back and the 3G looked brand spanking new. No scratches, no smudges, and no residue from the protector. It literally looked fresh out of the box, and that's no exaggeration.
I realize this isn't an iPhone 3G protector review, but this is an important feature of the Bodyguardz film. It protects the device and PRESERVES it as well, leaving no trace of its presence once removed even after being attached for 2 whole years. A HUGE plus. And seeing as how the iPhone 4 protector is made from the same material and uses the same adhesive, it will preserve your iPhone 4 for as long as you have it on.
Now, on to the iPhone 4 protector specifically.
Application:
It was pretty easy to put on, much easier than the 3G protector because it doesn't have the curved back side. I was also glad that they split up the pieces for the sides individually rather than having them all attached to the back protector, it made application even easier. The "squeegee" was good at getting out all of the air bubbles and most of the excess solution. Complete application took me about 30 minutes.
Function:
It protects very well from scratches, smudges, and other forms of cosmetic wear. And since it covers the great majority of the device, it protects better than almost all cases out there, especially the bumper that Apple put out for it since it leaves both faces exposed. It also adds a little grip, which is good because the phone itself is a little slippery. This isn't a phone you wanna drop on the pavement. However, it doesn't add so much grip that it inhibits finger sliding, flicking, and pinch zooming.
ALSO TO NOTE: This protector will NOT cure the antenna problem. Some people have reported that Apple's bumper cures the problem of losing reception when the lower left corner of the device is touched, but this film is not thick enough to do that. I tested it and I still go from 5 bars to 1 or 2 when the corner is covered.
Appearance:
For the first couple of days after application, you could see little patches of un-squeegee'd solution under the film. It sorta magnified the screen in those patches like little drops of water. This is normal, it's very minor, it isn't much of a nuisance, and it disappeared completely after about 2 days once it all dried. Not a big deal at all to me.
The appearance of the iPhone was mostly good. You couldn't even see it on there unless you looked really close. This is the main appeal of a protector like this. It prevents scratches and smudges and surface wear without a case. I personally don't like cases on devices like this because they add bulk, take away from the visual appeal of the device, and can sometimes damage the surface of the device by leaving scratches (hard cases) or residue (flexible cases), which not only makes the device visually unappealing, it can also take away resale value in the future.
I say the appearance is "mostly" good because the protector does one thing I really don't like...it collects stuff. Mostly lint. I keep my phone in my pocket, and almost immediately it started collecting fuzz around the edges of each piece of film. I suppose there must be a little bit of exposed adhesive around the edges and the lint sticks to it. It also tends to collect very small grains of things like sand, dirt, and debris particles. They indent themselves into the slightly flexible film and stick requiring the use of a fingernail to dislodge. It also shows some smudges and smears from finger tapping and flicking and pinching and such, more-so than the glass did. I had my phone without a film on it for the first week or so while waiting for the Bodyguardz protector to arrive and it looked great. Once I got the film on it, it started looking like a fuzzy, smudgy, debris covered, neglected phone.
This may not be much of a problem for you, and I wish it wasn't for me. But unfortunately, it was enough of a problem to me personally to make me take the film back off and go without it, which is why I give this product 3 stars.
Bodyguardz does a great job with their products. They protect very well and leave the device looking "naked" which is a big appeal to me. I don't really like giving them 3 stars for their protector, especially because I liked it so much on my 3G phone. But when a side-effect of the Bodyguardz film is enough motivation for me to remove it completely and go without it, I can't justify more than 3 stars. However, 1 or 2 stars would be a low-blow to the benefits and function of this product. It really does work great for what it's designed to do (protect) and still beats the pants off of any bumper or case in my opinion. Plus it comes with two full covers in case you ever need another one.
If you're not concerned about a little bit of fuzzy lint around the edges of your phone, then this is IMHO the best protection for your iPhone 4 and I recommend for you.
If a clean appearance is a concern for you like it is (regrettably) for me, then I can't recommend this and would recommend just leaving the phone the way it is. Scratching shouldn't be too much of a problem anyway since it's all glass and stainless steel on the outside (unlike the 3G which had plastic and was a scratch magnet).

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 1st Gen (Full Body) Review

ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Apple iPhone 1st Gen (Full Body)

This is the best screen protector I have purchased. I've used the iskin screen protector which was good, but mad the screen quality look bad. I tried a few other clear and colored screen protectors, but by far this one exceeds them all. I've had it since December 2007 and it still appears flawless and fits into all of my cases. I am currently using the touch leather case from [...], but alternate between my i-volution from [...]and iskin from [...]. Granted it took me a few tries to position the protector right, but as long as you READ and FOLLOW the directions it's a piece of cake. Here's the simplified version:(You still have to read and follow them though.)
1. clean the surface area with a lint free cloth
2. apply the spray liquid that came with the shield to your FINGERS, so the shield does not stick to them.
3. apply the spray to the surface of the ipod, it needs to be fairly moist, NOT SOAKED, NOT A SNEEZE.
4. position the film on the ipod, if you need to reposition make sure your FINGERS are wet with the spray so the shield does not stick to them and keep the surface of the ipod moist as well.
5. use the squeegee to excrete the remaining liquid from between the ipod and the shield. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE SMALLER BUBBLES! They dissipate when the sheild settles. (It also says this in the instructions.)
There you go. Remember keep moist and the process is much easier. I just ordered two more my wife and sons' ipod video.
