(More customer reviews)I was initially excited to receive this case, however, after using it for approximately 1 week, the sides began to creak every time I picked up the phone. This made it annoying to use, particularly while I was on phone calls. It also provides little protection. I picked up an Otterbox commuter series case for slightly more money and am much happier with it.

(More customer reviews)Very good for protecting your phone, but kind of turns it into a tank, which isn't what I wanted nor was expecting. The Vibrant is a sleek, sexy thing, and this case threw those qualities out the window. Collects hair and lint like a magnet, blocks off the edges of the screen (making it kind of frustrating to use the keyboard, or anything else that requires access to the edges), and a relative pain to remove.
I bought two of these, one for my husband's phone initially, and then before it arrived, also one for myself. My husband is about to be deployed, so it will be a good case for him in the desert and all that that entails, but for me staying here, a waste of $30+.
Also, we immediately cut off the port covers, as they are thick and hard to pry out.
I guess it really depends on how much protection you think you need vs. how many drawbacks you are willing to put up with alongside that.

Seidio SURFACE Case for HTC myTouch 4G - Black Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this case the day it was available from the Seidio site and when I first got it, everything seemed fine. Later on I noticed that the area around the cutout for the camera button was not tight against the phone. This caused the case to be loose and pushable in towards the phone, and it also made a creaking noise. I also noticed the same problem on the other side of the phone around the volume buttons. The problem is most likely due to the fact that this is a two-piece snap-on case instead of being one piece. I have RMA'ed the case already and I will see how the replacement is. If it has the same problem, I will see if I can get my money back.
For a case this pricey, it shouldn't be having issues like this. It's a shame since the material it is made from is really nice and it barely adds thickness to the phone.
UPDATE: I received my RMA'd new case and it is far better than the original one I received. The creaking is gone and it fits firmly around the phone. It would be perfect, but the cutout has a few rough edges. However, I would still recommend this case now.

The product does leave the device susceptible to hard reboots while in a pocket due to the large protruding buttons, and dust builds up in the light/proxy sensor window.
The product also doesnt have a window for the forward camera, for those who bought the vibrant 4g or installed it into their 3g (which makes it 4g anyway)
The case is too thick on the front, making portrait input very difficult.
very sturdy, fits in the hand very well, and doesnt fall apart like many other cases do. the audio jack port works well with many of the oversized jacks that seem to be coming out recently (ie - best buy line in/mp3)
recommended for anyone who wants to protect their device from falls and minor moisture/drenching.

I spend a lot of time outdoors jamming my phone in and out of my pockets so this case works great to keep out the dust and debris. The rubber out-casing is fairly thick and seems to absorb impact well if you drop your phone. It's very easy to assemble over your phone and take off when you don't want the added bulk. The screen protector that comes attached to the case isn't the greatest. It's just a thin piece of semi-ridgid plastic that seems to hold onto finger and face prints without a lot of responsiveness. I would recommend for anyone to take that screen cover out and go to a shopping mall and have Ghost Armor installed on the screen. It looks a lot better on the screen and has a better "feel" when using the phone.
My biggest, and only, dislike of the case is how it encroaches on the sides of the screen. It stands out almost 1/4 and inch off the phone surface. It makes it hard to use the edges of the screen for typing or web surfing. It's not impossible, just not as easy as not having a case on your phone. The price you pay for a little security I guess.
