PDO Silk Slider Case for iPhone 4 (AT&T and Verizon) - Black Review

(More customer reviews)I initially got introduced to the Silk Slider cases by a friend who gave me one for my iPod Touch, and after using it for a while, I bought it immediately for my new iPhone 4. The case is extremely well made, it fits the iPhone perfectly, and the inside of the case is padded with soft material, which prevents scratches. The exterior has a soft texture without being slippery, it's actually very nice to the touch. Since it's a hard case it protects the device extremely well against falls and scratches, and it does not block access to the buttons and connectors. The only problem I have had is with my Phillips DLA47000 stand, which I love, but that with the case on fails to make proper contact with the iPhone's dock connector (this wasn't a problem with the iPod Touch because of its rounded backside). In cases like this, the case allows you to take off the bottom part (which covers slightly less than 1/4th of the device), leaving completely unimpeded access to the connector.
The case came with an included screen protector, however I found that the screen protector gets dirtier and smudgier than the iPhone screen, so I have decided to take it off and just be careful. I prefer to enjoy the iPhone 4's screen in its full glory.
All in all I can very highly recommend this case for the iPhone 4.

(More customer reviews)What I wanted: A case that would offer decent protection without bulking up my phone. (Who wants to pay for a phone this sleek then bulk it up with a giant box case?)
What I've tried: Quite a few. A lot look similar to this one online, then are incredibly flimsy when you receive them. This one was way, way sturdier and more substantial than the other slim iPhone 4 cases I've tried.
Four stars: the only reason it doesn't get five is because it would be nice if there were a small lip to protect the front screen. As is, it's flush. It is, however, still a great case. Feels like metal, soft coating, stronger corners, sleek look and adds the LEAST bulk to your phone of all the cases I've tried. Feels closest to the case-free phone.
A steal. Get it.

It stains from daily use when handling the phone. It looked 100 years old after just a couple of weeks of use. But it is slip free (another positive). I would buy another one, but only in black or another dark color.

(More customer reviews)I had the same brand case for my previous iPhone 3GS and absolutely loved the look. I liked the look of natural stained wood and leather. So when I upgraded to the iPhone 4, I looked for the same case. The only drawback was there were no US carriers that had this product for the iPhone 4. I actually could not find this product by doing an internet search, I only found it with an Amazon search.
When I purchased this item on 12/29/10, the expected shipping date displayed was mid Feb 2011! I had no idea why this was so... Turns out the seller was somewhere in China, only found this out when I received the package. Thankfully the case was received late Jan 2011, which is way better than mid Feb and was intact. So other than the length of time to be received, I am happy with this product.

After my last silicone iPhone case ripped, I embarked on an an exhaustive search for a functional cover that afforded basic protection but wouldn't mar the sleek lines of my device. I sampled the following units: Incipio Feather for iPhone 4 - Orange Soda, splash ZERO Slim-Fit PolyCarbonate Snap-On Case for iPhone 4 4G (PURPLE), Marware MicroShell Case for iPhone 4 (Blue) (Fits AT&T iPhone), and Acase(TM) Superleggera melody fit case for iPhone 4 with 2 Screen Protector (Sky Blue). All these cases proved unsatisfactory because they failed to be protective, unobtrusive, and/or durable.
Enter the elago S4 . . . The case fits very closely to the phone, preserving the iPhone's sleekness. Also, the elago protects the corners of the phone. I also find that the case doesn't really slip when I grip it. Finally, the elago S4 simply looks great. I've received many complements. Highly recommended.
in short:
pros: sleek, colorful, fun. provides modest, basic protection.
cons: no front protection so you'll have to consider buying a clear screen for the front. obviously not indestructible so don't go out of your way to abuse your phone.

However, because it't so think that why it's easy to be crack and broken if you are just a little careless. I dropped it twice and it was crack by the two sides. I recommend it if you're a careful person but if not, don't get it, find another one is more safe for your phone.
