(More customer reviews)Had to buy one of these for my new BlackBerry Torch 9800 Phone (AT&T) - which is great by the way.
I was a little concerned about the fact that the Torch does not have "charging contacts" that allow it to charge in the pod without connecting the microUSB.
Instead, the pod has a microUSB male connector sticking up that effortlessly slips into the phone when you slide it into the pod. The contours of the pod align the phone perfectly in place to make it an easy, no thought required process.
While you still may lament the lack of charging contacts on the Torch 9800, keep in mind that those do not allow you to establish a USB connection to your computer. Personally I am just using the pod as a bedside holster to prop my phone up so I can see it easily at night...if I had it on my desk it would be great to use for syncing my device and charging - all while being able to easily see the screen and use it.
