(More customer reviews)When I bought my iphone in mid-October there were no protectors available locally and I had been burned enough on protectors for my ipods to know that I didn't want to buy one without actually seeing and holding it. After weeks went by and I couldn't find one, I finally took a chance on this one. I did have a couple of good reasons: 1)I liked the easel feature because-- well, I watch movies and television shows on my iphone when I have to wait somewhere and 2) I was told by a more experience iphone owner that if the iphone is dropped the black tends to chip on the edge so I wanted hard case protection.
The clear touch screen cover does not seem to decrease the sensitivity or the brightness of the touch screen. It is a pain to get on though. Read instructions and have a credit card handy to try to get rid of the inevitable bubbles by pushing them to the edge.
After the touch screen is covered, the hard case simply snaps together around the phone. It stays together under ordinary use and abuse such as banging around loose in a handbag. I didn't feel the urge to do any drop tests.
However, it doesn't have a belt clip so if part of your image requires wearing it on your belt this case won't work for you. Also when the case is on the iphone won't fit in the charger stand. However, it is easy enough to unplug the USB cord from the charger stand and plug it directly into the iphone for charging and data transfer.
