(More customer reviews)My iPod went through the wash and the bottom of the screen stopped responding to touch but everything else worked fine. I heard that replacing the digitizer would fix the problem and it sure did! I watched an instructional YouTube video about 300,000 times while replacing the screen so I would be sure not to miss anything and even though I had a few screw holes that were curiously empty after I put it back together it seems to work fine. Removing the bezel from the old screen was the hardest part. I don't own a hair dryer so I put the screen wrapped in a towel on my George foreman grill to soften the glue. Sounds crazy and I felt stupid doing it but it worked fine.
I am a little concerned about the life expectancy of this item however.. It looks, works and feels the same as the original apple product but other reviews say that it stopped working shortly after it was installed. I guess we will see what happens.
