(More customer reviews)My iPod went through the wash and the bottom of the screen stopped responding to touch but everything else worked fine. I heard that replacing the digitizer would fix the problem and it sure did! I watched an instructional YouTube video about 300,000 times while replacing the screen so I would be sure not to miss anything and even though I had a few screw holes that were curiously empty after I put it back together it seems to work fine. Removing the bezel from the old screen was the hardest part. I don't own a hair dryer so I put the screen wrapped in a towel on my George foreman grill to soften the glue. Sounds crazy and I felt stupid doing it but it worked fine.
I am a little concerned about the life expectancy of this item however.. It looks, works and feels the same as the original apple product but other reviews say that it stopped working shortly after it was installed. I guess we will see what happens.

(More customer reviews)This was a simple product it came in envelope that was fitted with bubble wrap, that was then covered by a stiff cardboard to keep it safer. When I received it, it was simple to open the package.
Took me about 2 minutes to fix it, slid the tools down the edges, got the snap-on parts off, then toke the 6 screws off from the main "frame" from the black plastic cover. Unlocked the strip that belongs to the screen, then placed the new one in, locked it. Replaced the screws back on, then snapped it back together, voilà! Its that simple.
It was a cheap fix for me since my friend gave me his ipod since he has an iphone. 10 bucks for an mp3, sounds like a good deal and it was.
I chose this one over the other 3.xx something product that was available and that has tons of reviews/customers because this specific one is covered by prime. That let me know that this was a trusted company and if I was to have any trouble my assumption would be that it would be easier to deal with this company/amazon then it would be with the other one. This is $10.43, and the other one after adding shipping was 9.7x or something around there. I decided that for less then a dollar more I would have one from a company backed by amazon.
