(More customer reviews)As of this writing, there are not many options available for iPad 2 owners to protect the back of their investments. Even Apple's own "Smart" Covers don't protect the easily-scratched back of the iPad when closed.
This silicone cover fits the iPad 2 very well. It has the correct cut outs for the new cameras, however there is no opening for the microphone (although, you could probably easily fix this by using a thumbtack to puncture a hole where the mic should be). While there are no cutouts specifically for the Smart Cover, again you could probably cut this cover yourself. This case also covers the perimeter of the screen well, so it will help hold a screen protector in place and help prevent the edges from curling up.
The screen doesn't respond to the stylus included with my order, but the cover was mainly what I wanted. This cover initially had a strong plastic smell, but I hand washed it with some dish soap and it is now fine.
