I went through Nokia E62, Nokia E61, T-mobile Dash. They all worked great and I was using them with Bluetooth GPS with TomTom. It worked great except the necessity of carrying two different chargers, etc. The P3300 does it all. GPS, phone, PDA.
Yes, it has a rather slow processor (200Hz) but you can overclock up to 299Hz (at least thats what I was running). There is always a trade off between the speed and battery life. I am right now running 247 and it seems a good compromise between speed and battery life. My Skype runs without any problems.
GPS is the best I used in a while. I get reception 10 feet away from window inside. The accuracy is nice and it does not seem to eat my battery as much as the Bluetooth GPS drained my phone (but it was more due to the Bluetooth).
I upgraded ROM to meschle Vanilla (check the [...]) and it makes the PDA run much faster as it does not install lot of extra programs which install in the factory settings.
Yes, the AT&T Tilt has faster processor and keyboard, but you trade the battery life and size+weight.
I bought Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard on Amazon for around [$...] dollars and it works flawlessly if I need to write longer e-mails or documents. I use it for my classes to type and it works great.
Again, for me it is the best phone/PDA combo.
