(More customer reviews)I purchased the Nokia C7 last weekend and so far, has been very happy with the phone. Symbian 3 OS is definitely a much better OS than the old one. I bought the C6 earlier which has the old OS and HATED IT! I returned it after a week. I decided to wait for the release of C7 and was happy that I did. For perspective, this is definitely not an iPhone 4; but if you do not want to spend a lot of money for an iphone 4, then this is something you might want (definitely have) to consider.
Pros:
- the new Symbian OS. Faster response; faster speed. Definitely a big improvement from the previous OS
- comes w/ 8gb memory; expandable w/ micro SD card. I don't really need any more than this, so did not get a micro SD.
- the AMOLED screen makes pictures & videos look clear and crisp
- Capacitive touch screen is great, very responsive.
- I like that there is an option to type using either the alpanumeric keyboard or the QWERTY keyboard. I am used to the alphanumeric keyboard that I prefer using this than the QWERTY. Was a pleasant surprise for me to find that this is available for me to use when I send text messages.
- 8.0 MP camera. Most smartphones only have 5.0 mp cameras (even the iphone 4 has 5.0 mp)
- love the brown color! phone looks classy and unique than all the black ones out there.
- improved phone body/casing. the plastic body/casing on the C6 looks cheap and is prone to scratches! this phone is also so much thinner and lighter than the C6!
- phone came w/ NOKIA leather case in the box! this is definitely a big plus for me as I do not have to search for a case for the phone and my phone can be protected from day 1!
Cons:
- Screen is prone to have fingerprints all over them. I find myself wiping the screen (and the phone) with a soft cloth every once in awhile. I guess this is expected in a touch screen phone. This is not a big minus factor though.
- It is not an iPhone 4. I still think that the iPhone 4 is the best smartphone you can get in the market... if you are willing to pay the price tag.
I have not had a chance to try out all the different features of the phone yet as I only have it with me for 2 days. I will update this post if there is any significant change to my review above. With what I am seeing right now, I don't think there will be any. (crossing my fingers =p)
