For an inexpensive phone, the Haven oozes quality.. it is designed and built very well. It's larger than most flip phones (about the length and width of a credit card), but is very thin and light at the same time with a nice, metal-type case that in no way feels cheap or plasticky like so many phones today
The buttons are large and clear, with the simple, VZW / Samsung user interface. Everything about the phone is intuitive and easy to use. ICE and 911 buttons are a brilliant idea, and just perfect for dad who knows exactly what to press in the event of and emergency.
The ICE button is programmable and can hold up to three different ICE numbers.
The display is sharp, clear, and vivid
Ringer and sound volumes can be raised to an almost deafening level.. perfect for older folks who's hearing may be declining.
I call this phone the "stealth Jitterbug" as it is a basic phone, perfect for older folks, but without looking like a hokey plas-tastic piece of junk "targeted" towards the elderly.
