In my defense, there were no instructions that explained that you needed to remove a protective cover from the protective cover... Once the outer cover came off (from daily use), the actual cover worked quite well. It lasted several months, and eventually got small cracks and tears in it. Time to replace!

I ordered this film to protect my G1, but apparently needed to also order something to protect the sheet itself. It went on smoothly, with a minimum of bubbles. I noticed immediately the the surface is not conducive to the sliding touch required to use the G1; the film is slightly rubbery, so your finger doesn't slip as nicely as on the glass screen alone. That wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for how weak the film is. I keep my G1 in a jacket pocket and yet it immediately started getting scratches and knicks. After about 3 weeks the edges began getting ruffled and peeling up. Finally, last night, it came halfway off and had no tackiness. I crumpled it up and threw it away. Complete waste of my money. Now I'm in the market for a protective film that actually works.
