(More customer reviews)Prologue: I wanted to protect my screen from scratches having learned that lesson years ago with a full screen capacitive display. Do a little research and you will find the justification for pursuing this type of accessory over another. To safeguard your handheld's display it comes down to a choice between a screen protector or one of the correct styli (in this case one with a soft tip made for capacitive screens). Add to this some form of protective case (Otterbox) or cover (BodyGlove) and you will have a greater chance for full-functionality through the life of the product or -- depending on which lecherous cell phone service provider you're handcuffed to -- for the next 20+ month when you can upgrade again.
The Play: After purchasing three styli at $14.99+ each and promptly losing them within a few days, I started looking for a bargain stylus, hoping it would still offer the performance of the high priced "spreads." I originally and accidentally found this brand and model on Engadget; so I went ahead and bought four for a total price below what I had paid for one before from other accessory merchants.
Surprise, Surprise: a week later the styli were delivered. Wow: they were packaged 3 per shrink pack so I got 12 total; what was just a bargain before became an insane purchase. Delighted that these guys not only worked at a basement level price, I gave half of my dozen away to co-workers and friends, encouraging them to use the Engadget.com link if they wanted more(this used to be called the "puppy-dog close" in sales but now it is more accurately the "crack-cocaine" close -- the first one's free and you're hooked).
The other surprise was this sweet/cheap stylus worked as well as the more expensive models; and why not? It may have lacked the aesthetic appeal of other choices but functionally, it simply worked great.
If you are a minimalist -- keep it simple and functional -- this is the product for you.
For the price you get a great little tool. Plus you can live out the American credo: buy cheap and support a third world country.
Final word: So why not Engadget? Only one answer: for the best customer service, nobody beats Amazon.com -- I have been buying from Amazon since they launched their first e-commerce website and I have NEVER been disappointed.
