(More customer reviews)First I need to give a disclaimer on my feedback. The iPhone 4 is the first one that I have had a case on. I have had all the other iPhone's but liked the Apple dock so I never cased my phones. I have always used a belt clip holster from Seidio and later at&t.
My first impression of this case is the customer service that is provided by Blue Harbor Online is excellent. Diana is who seems to respond to each email with care and all your questions are addressed. I have never seen a form generated response from them and in my book this counts for a lot. They have gained my trust.
But of course you want the product to do two things, work and last. When I first opened the package I noticed that this is a face in design. I have no issue with this since it protects your screen and if I wanted to use the phone I don't want it in the holster. I was using a Griffin Reveal Case until I found a holster and case combo I like.
Pros: This case came with a screen protector and a cleaning cloth that I am sure will be appreciated. It has a smooth finish to the case and I am not sure what it is. It feels like a cross between plastic and rubber, a nice feeling in the hand. I am confident it will not slip. All the ports are open giving you complete and fast access to charging, switches and ear bud ports. The clip seems to be well made and can rotate on your hip to a comfortable angle. The phone/Case seems to fit very snug into the clip and I have no worries about this phone falling out. Overall, I think this combo is a winner. You can even get optional colors and the price is much better than like products. And, it does not add too much bulk, exactly what I was looking for.
Cons: There is only one real con I see about this case and has nothing to do with function. In the first 3 times I put this cased phone into the clip the rubber coating was worn off of the spring retainer.
Not so much a con, but be warned that putting the cased phone in and out of the clip takes some practice. At first it is very tight and I had to press the retainer down and make sure the phone actually sat in the clip right. This was corrected with some practice and use. Now it works great.
My Opinion: I believe this is my new favorite case and belt clip. I wish there was something between the Griffin case and Otter box backside to show off the Apple logo. As a former Seidio clip user who was completely unsatisfied with their product, the warranty, and customer service I am happy there is an alternative. While the Otter box products are great they are too bulky for my taste and I am not that hard on my phone. I am not sure what the warranty is on this combo. If it is on the Amazon site I did not see it. But I am sure Blue Harbor Online will back up their product better than Seidio did. If something happens at a later date I will defiantly come back and update my feedback. But in the first 24 hours I am satisfied and am readying to order a green case to use with this clip.
