(More customer reviews)Received this in the mail today, and i was pleased to see there were 3, when i only expected 1. I proceeded to scrub my phone down with alchohol screen/lense wipes, along with the table area i installed the protector as i always do. Followed the instructions, which are the same as all other screen protector installation instructions. I was able to install very easily without any bubbles like you sometimes get with the thin clear protectors. The fit is smaller than the screen by a couple mm all around, and not as good as my Seidio protectors. I hit the power button to to activate the screen, and the screen is dimmed significantly, but that was somewhat expected and i suppose stil usable. But then i tried to unlock my phone, and the touch screen does not register AT ALL. I proceeded to peel back and verify the screen still worked, and it did. The EVO has a super sensitive screen and sometimes i swear i dont have to even touch it to register contact...and i cannot get it to work at all with this protector. I then tried the other two as well, and same thing.
Not sure what good a screen protector is when it renders your phone completely useless. Also, the mirror finish appears 'foggy' like when you see polished stainless that is highly reflective...for stainless steel.
Summary:
1 - Inferior fit and cut
2 - Foggy Mirror finish
3 - In any kind of light, the screen is very difficult to see, even with brightness all the way up.
4 - Renders touch screen (ultimately the phone) useless!
5 - Got 3 protectors! (none of which work!)
Buy these if you want to turn your EVO into an expensive, yet foggy, mirror that can tell you what time it is!
