(More customer reviews)What can I say? It's a great product. This hard case is for those who want better protection, especially shock protection, for their Focus's. The material is similar to what the back cover of the Samsung Focus is made of, however it's thicker and less flexible. The surface is just slightly rubbery to the touch and it also looks like it has a matte-finish. The holes along the sides of the case allow easy access to the buttons. It doesn't pick up fingerprints and it's also scratch-resistant as well, at least when I used my fingernails.
As for the coverage area on the front of the phone, the case covers up to the edge of the screen, including the bezel, on the sides and the top of the phone. On the bottom, there is maybe a millimeter of distance between the edge of the case and the edge of the screen.
